My son was involved in the S&W Lipseys exclusive UC project. The guns should start rolling out soon but he acquired a 442 version pre-production sample for me. This gun was part of the shot show display and subsequent media events. I have more than a few J frames and really prefer vintage S&Ws over most current offerings. But this series is pretty solid. I am impressed. Hope to range test it in the next week or so.

When I carry a revolver it is usually a std 442. Dry firing this one has a nice action and the VZ grips feel great. Actual sights on the UC are superior to my 442. This one was shot a lot during the media events and the feedback I have heard is all favorable. I am really looking forward to getting a 432 32 H&R.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon regarding your impressions.

Post 4 and anyone who may be confused,
Post 1 and the thread is regarding the forthcoming 442UC, which is a .38 Special revolver.

Lipsey's will also be introducing similar 432UC and 632UC models in the .32H&R Magnum caliber.

I’m really wanting one of these. I’m usually a 442 guy, but put in my request for a 642 model on this one. I’m hoping they’re coming soon.

I'm on the wish list for a 442 UC. I've already got a 49 and a 642 plus holsters, speedloaders, ammo, brass, dies, and a shell plate for .38 Special. Getting one of the .32s would involve getting all the stuff for reloading it, and at this stage of my life, I'm more interested in downsizing that stuff.

I'm stoked that S&W is finally putting decent sights and better triggers on the J frames!

I am wanting the 432. But my partner and I have been shooting 32 H&R for years and set up to load for it. The 432 gains 1 round, 6 vs 5, and is more pleasant to shoot. I find in my old age even light 38 spl get tiresome out of a 16-18 oz revolver. I shot my 442-1 in a couple sessions at revolver round up. That was plenty.

My error. My ffl is aware of me wanting the 32 magnum 432.

I was one of many who cycled the action on that gun and the others on display at SHOT. I am looking forward to one in 32.

Then you may have handled this gun. It was one of the display guns at shot and demo gun for the subsequent gun writers media event.
