Default Does model 15-10 Classics really exist?

i was wondering if anyone has ever seen the Model 15-10 Classics S&W revolver?
There was a Classics model 15 listed on their website from about 2011-2013 SKU#150716, but I have never in my life seen it listed on Gunbroker or any other gun sale sight, and I have never seen one for sale used at a gun store. I cannot find any reviews or discussion of them online either. Does anyone know if this model actually ever shipped and did people buy it? Do YOU have one? If so, I'd love to hear its story and see a picture.

Product: Model 15

I remember when that add came out years ago, being a huge model 15 and 19 fan the thought of a Model 15 with a shrouded ejector rod barrel made my heart go all pitter patter even if it had a lock hole.
My guess at the time was that the barrel was the same one used on the Model 19 line with a longer forcing cone.
There was another shrouded ejector rod barrel around that time frame used on the short run of stainless 617 Mountain guns but those had a narrow rib barrel IIRC.

Yes, if you look at the picture of it, it looks just like a Model 19. I think it's just a Model 19 that you can't put a 357 Magnum in.

For some reason, the grips look oddly weird to my eyes. Probably because I don’t see many of the modern ones.

I remember this Classic Model 15 as well. Back in late 2011, I was trying to decide between this model and the Classic Model 27-9. Went with the 27 ordered thru my LGS, but presumably would have had no difficulty getting the 15-10 had I ordered that instead.

There are some posts on this forum about that revolver (do a search for 150716). They seem to indicate that very few were made. One person said that we would not see any more .357 K-frames, a prediction that turned out to be wildly false.
Given how scarce this model is, it could be that anyone who has one has a rare collectors item.

I have one of the Model 15-10 "Classic Series." At first glance, you would think it was a Model 19. Curious as to how many of these were produced.

I get the impression that not many at all were produced. It would seem to me that you have a very rare item. Might that not become valuable one day? Feel free to post a picture of it if you get a chance...
