Does anyone have a referral to one?

I know of Gunsmithing, Ltd. in Southport, CT and a Richard Pleines in Killingsworth, CT. Pleines is quite a bit closer to me, but I don't know anything about him.

Sort of midway in distance is JoJo's Gunworks in Southington. But I don't know anything about them, either.

My concern is so many gunsmiths seem to be guys who build ARs and work on Glocks. I don't know how many still work on revolvers.

I have a Model 28 with some timing issues and a Model 60 that doesn't reliably ignite factory fodder. I suspect that the 60 was mucked with by a previous owner.

I used Gunsmithing Limited in the old Ruger location about 10 years ago. I delivered the gun to the shop and spoke to Mitch Schultz, the head gunsmith.
They smoothed out my jamomatic stainless Remlin 44 lever gun. It handles like the Marlins of yesteryear.
