I have had a set of Herrett's Jordan Troopers on my M19 for literally over 45 years and shot well with them. However, now with arthritis, a bone spur, and other assorted ailments my strong hand needs something slimmer for grips. I have tried a set of magnas and a BK grip adapter. Worked okay for .38 spl loads but not good for .357 stuff. An old set of Pachmayr presentation grips are better but I would like to get something else. Are any of the Altamont grips for SB K frames slimmer? What about the VZ grips? Anyone have any experience with either? I have not tried any VZ grips but I have Altamont grips on 4 different Ruger SAs and they seem to fit good.

The slimmest grip I have ever found that felt comfortable is the old/discontinued Uncle Mikes K frame boot grip. they show up on auction site usually for stupid money now. They have an exposed backstrap so heavy 357 mag might be too much.

How about a set of Herrett's Shooting Star stocks? Smaller than Jordan Trooper stocks since they do not cover the back strap, but still fill the hand nicely and they also look a lot better than rubber.

The Herretts Jordan Trooper stocks are very big, so just about any SB K frame stocks would be smaller. Factory K frame Combat stocks if you like finger grooves and wood, or perhaps the Uncle Mike's rubber grip in the longer version than mentioned above.
