New 9 VE and New board member!

I sent my SW9VE to Frank and the repair ticket (written by hand which is unusual in this age where everything is computerized) says that he replaced the striker. He also replaced the front sight. As I have replied in other posts, I sent my gun in on a Saturday and had it back the following...

    ammo shortage

I already posted it on other forums, but this seems like a good place to share it again... Have you seen the prices some of these guys are getting on the auction sites for those Federal bulk packs from Wal-Mart? Ridiculous! So just for grins, I posted this...

    ammo at walmart

That's fine as long as you have enough ammo on hand at the moment, but the next time you go to <insert name of your favorite store or online supplier> is out of stock or if you reload, <insert name of your favorite store or online supplier> is out of primers and bullets, that may change your...

Sigma fell apart in my hands! Piece of crap!

The gap is fine, but I am worried about your patio! Scott

    Sigma SW9VE jams

You have to make sure the magazine is well seated in the gun. I got into the habit of tapping the heel of the magazine with the palm of my hand before hitting the slide release. I primarily shoot Fiocchi 115gr FMJ's with no issues. Scott

    My Sigma Again

While the dry firing may certainly help your technique, there is no reason to suffer with a gritty trigger. If you look at the back page of your owners manual, you will see the contact information for LSG Manufacturing, the S&W warranty repair center. The two key words (actually 4 if you are...

    Sigma SW9VE & ammo?

Another +1 for feeding anything to my SW9VE. I primarily use Fiocchi 115gr FMJ and have never (knock wood) had one fail to go bang! Also no issues with WWB's. The only problem is actually finding them! Scott

Broken striker on my Sigma SW9C

I know this is a moot point now since the OP already sent his gun in, but when I shipped my SW9VE to Frank, the clerk at the FedEx depot (A real FedEx depot, not Kinkos) said that they would not ship a firearm in one of their FREE Overnight Boxes, but that I would have to buy a plain white box...

    GB ? Opinions

You definitely did not get what you paid for. I have always been satisfied with my transactions on gunbroker, but you need to go back to the site and see what their policy is on this matter. If this happens too many times (and once is too many!), this seller can and should be banned from...

    Newbie question SW9VE

If you look at Figure 19 on Page 22 of the owner's manual (you did get an owner's manual with this gun, didn't you?), you will see that the top of the barrel where you are noticing the wear is one of the lubrication points. Mine looks exactly like what you are describing and I don't think there...

Just picked up my SW40VE a day ago...

I believe the issue of dry firing causing damage without a magazine is something specific to the Ruger SR9. I have not seen this issue with other models and other brands, but my arsenal is not big enough to own them all! Scott

Just picked up my SW40VE a day ago...

Again, it is not stated in the owners manual (I don't know why they are being so chintzy with the ink!), but according to their website's FAQ section: http://www.smith-wesson.com/we...12&sectionId=10504#2 "Can I dry fire my S&W handgun? Q: Can I dry fire my Smith & Wesson? A: Yes, except for...

Just picked up my SW40VE a day ago...

Not (entirely) true! The fired cartridge is more than just a keep sake they threw in with the gun for the heck of it because they thought you might like a nice memento. They don't mention it in the S&W manual, but in the Ruger manuals, there is a very detailed explanation. "WHY ARE WE...

    Sigma SW9C

Here is a very opinionated history of the 9C written by a Glock enthusiast: http://en.allexperts.com/q/Gun...esson-Sigma-SW9C.htm Scott P.S. I have an SW9VE and have no regrets!

    Sigma trigger fix

I can't answer for anyone else, but LSG paid for shipping both ways and the work was done at not charge. I sent mine in on a Saturday and got it back the following Thursday. To top it off, Frank apologized for taking so long! Scott

    Tell me it gets better

Here is their website: http://www.lsgmfg.com/ Obviously you should put a bunch of rounds through it and see what you think. Then you might want to call LSG. When I called, I said, "I have a new SW9VE..." and that was all I had to say. He gave me his FedEx account number and that was pretty much...

    +P+?

Or as my grandpappy used to say, "If you fall off that rock and break your leg, don't come running to me!" Or as Jeff Foxworthy would say, You might be a redneck if you have a relative who's last words were "Hey y'all, watch me do this!" Scott
