    National Firearms Museum New Website

We've just rolled out Phase 1 of the new NRA National Firearms Museum website. Check it out at: NRA (that's nationalfirearmsmuseum.org) This is the basic layout for the site, with some good content in place. Phase 2 will have much more extensive content, including photos and commentary on...

    Question for Doc44?

I'd go w/ Doc's suggestion of microcrystalline wax for non-shooters. I use it on my guns & the NFM uses it on the Museum's guns. Brand names are Renaissance Wax and Curator's Choice. Jim Supica

THIS WEEKEND - NRA Annual Meeting, Phoenix - collector displays

I'd encourage any forum members who can possibly make it to come to the NRA Annual Meeting in Phoenix this weekend. If you've never been, the display hall is like being at the SHOT Show, except you don't have to be dealer to get in. All the major firearms manufacturers will have hands-on...

Book: Smith & Wesson SIXGUNS OF THE OLD WEST..Worth the price??

Chicoine's book is exceptional, and a favorite of mine. If you have any interest in the Model 3 you NEED this book. If you have a general interest in S&W's or the Old West, you will enjoy this book. I helped Dave a very small bit on this, and it goes far beyond SCSW. Jim

    NFM at Tulsa

That's the oral history we received with the gun. Another great T.R. annecdote... In 1902, Pres. Roosevelt was attending the Harvard commencement ceremony. While he was freshening up at the Harvard President's home, the academic was a bit non-plussed when T.R. pulled "a good-sized pistol"...

    NFM at Tulsa

Joe Wanenmacher has graciously given the NRA National Firearms Museum a table at the Tulsa show, and we hope to have a presence there every show. Our table is at the bottom of the stairs on the opposite side of the hall from where my OTS table used to be. I'm looking forward to seeing lots of...

    NRAblog.com - Inside Supica's Safe

http://nrablog.com is fairly new, and if you're not familiar with it you might want to check in from time to time. It's running stuff on the National Firearms Museum fairly regularly, and the NRA staffers that put it together are a sharp & fun bunch. Here's an entry to start you out, if you're...

A writer has asked for some help on a novel. Does anyone know approx. what retail price on a .32 Safety Hammerless would have been ca. 1894? Thanks - Jim

    Question about Chiefs Spec Airweight

Malysh, just a note to apologize for not responding to your email. As you guessed, I've been swamped w/ the transition to my new job & just have not had time to respond to inquiries lately. If I know an answer off the top of my head, I'll try to click a quick response. However, as is the...

    Supica inventory liquidation

Dave, catalogs did indeed go out to subscribers. If you will call Jen at 913-492-3000, she'll get another one out you. Please tell her I asked her to send it Priority in hopes that it will reach you before the auction. Also, if you prefer a refund of your remaining subscription rather than to...
