I've seen them called "Persentation Magnas". I have 2 pair that appear to be maple but don't have the little "birds-eye" in the grain.

This 2.5" one is NIB, book says 1993 manf., doesn't say how many were made in .357 cal., does say that 158 (2.5" ones) were made in .38 spec. cal. for export to Brazil, appears to me darn few were made in .357 cal.
