That is the silliest range rule I've ever heard! Is there any logic for the rule?

As many of you know I'm fond of 686s so of course I must play! My favorite would depend on the intended purpose; the 6" 686-4 plus is the one I shoot best at the range, but if I had to choose one for carry and shootability, I'd have to agree with Engine49guy and others, and go with the 686+...

In a SHF situation if I went down, I'd have to leave explicit instructions for my wife to cut the finger off my cold dead hand so she could continue the battle.

I am a member of both an indoor range and an outdoor range and shoot at both here in Phoenix (about 70:30 indoor : outdoor). I'm jealous of those of you with outdoor home ranges....that would be my preference! When I'm "home" in Wyoming I shoot outside the back door.

Remember those contraceptive sponges that were popular in the 80s? My little weener dog ate one of those once (out of the trash). Stopped her up tight with a proximal bowel obstruction. Fortunately I am a veterinary surgeon so I was able to remove it without the embarrassment of someone else...

Can't think of anything to add that hasn't been said in the previous 55 posts. But for what its worth my vote is a resounding "NO THANKS" as well.

As a Wyo native I've been there several times, and at the risk of some bias, I think it is THE best museum of any type I've been to. At least it is my favorite! I even went there on my honeymoon back in '88!

I had one and foolishly sold it for about what I paid a couple years ago (around $700). I wish I'd known they would appreciate that much and I'd have held on to it longer!

I'm sure I've had some split cases slip thru and not even known it. The only issue I've encountered (on a couple of occasions) when split cases were loaded in a revolver (.357 mag) was the bullet of split round backing out enough during recoil to lock up the cylinder and even prevent opening...

I'm the first poll-responder, so it looks like 100% K-frame right now! Actually to elaborate, k-frame would be the most frequent, with L and J frames a close second depending on attire, etc. N frame least frequent. Don't own any I or X-frames.

And don't forget the 3" ers!;)

I've got a Scout model and it is one of my favorite rifles. It would be the one I'd grab in a pinch for sure.
