A Unique Performance Center 629-3 Fixed Sight 45 Colt

The leather looks like Sam Andrews. Was out of Orlando Florida and now St. Augustine.

    Fitting hammer nose

Some of my K frames measure .055 and .054 from the factory. Others measure as low as .046. The info I have seen says .062 is max. I fitted a Power FP recently on a 66-1 and it started out at .067 also. I ended up at .059. I would leave it at .060 unless you get pierced primers.

    Remington FBI load?

Remington RTP38S12 is the better choice. The Federal and Winchester loadings now use a harder bullet and do not expand consistently.

    Remington FBI load?

Targetsportsusa.com gets it in regularly. I bought the 50 round boxes for 16.99 a few weeks ago. They have been running that price for a long time. Buy a case of 10 and get free shipping. They are out at the moment though. :(

    Hammer Shims ?

Burrs inside the frame and side plate edges cause most of the problems with hammer and trigger scrapes. If you do end up needing shims check out triggershims.com

    Recommendation for color case hardening

Another vote to replace the trigger and hammer. The DA sear and the hand are the parts that require fitting, just re-use the ones in the gun now. The replacement hammer and trigger will most likely not require any modification.

    66-1 • 2.5" • great shooter/great deal

That is an interesting hammer for a 66?

    29-2 stainless

Looking at your pictures, by the color I would guess the barrel and cylinder are Hard Chrome and the frame is Electroless Nickel.

    10-8 on GB

The 10-8 has the pre-MIM internals. The weight savings with the heavy barrel is negligible at only 2 ounces less than a model 19 4 inch. It is however a good nightstand gun in 38 spl. with the heavy barrel making for very light recoil. Nice looking blue job. enjoy!

    GB 19-3, she's not pretty.

If I could have only one, it would be a 4" blue Model 19. A 19-3 was my first serious handgun in 1970. The 19-4 I recently purchased would be my last.

    Rescued 19-4 4"

Beautiful restoration, enjoy it. Lived in Round Rock many years ago. I left a lot of lead in the hill country back then out of a 4 inch blued 19-3. My all time favorite revolver. During my 1911 obsession I made the mistake of selling all my revovlers. I recently picked up a 19-4 to replace it.

Just Dropped My Baby Off With Nelson Ford

    eb07, great looking 4 inch 19. I spent a lot of time behind a 19-3 from 1970 through 1979.

    Revolver Side Plate screws

For a PPC gun or any that does not have to be original screws, I would recommend the allen head screws from Grand Masters LLC (Ron Power Custom). The 3 screws are the same so you have to dimple the inside of your grip where it fits over the rear screw. Using the allen screws makes taking the...

    My holy grail came home

Congrats on a fantastic shooter! The 5 inch 27 has to be one of the best combinations of balance, sight radius, ballistic efficiency and overall good handling revolvers ever made. In the mid 70's I purchased a police trade-in pre 27 5 inch blue 5 screw from a small LGS in central Florida. It...
