It's LE but not LE only. Mine came with night sights and 3 mags. Same trigger as regular M&P.

I believe ETS is going to make M&P mags sometime soon. I use factory and ACT-MAG. The ACT-MAG are exactly like factory only they are gloss blue and have the S&W logo removed. They still have the circle on the floorplate, just no logo. No problems with them but prefer the anti friction coating...

The good thing about 1055 and other carbon steels is that the heat treat doesn't have to be 100% spot on to get a good blade. Some of my favorite knives are $15 carbon steel knives, mostly Moras and Opinels. BTW, I don't know if that counts as South African since they were originally from...

I haven't found many trademark owners that will license their trademark without being paid. As far as them being the same, Chris Hodgdon says they are and that's good enough for me.

I shoot just fine with 5.5-6.5 lb triggers so I guess I see no reason to go any lighter, especially for carry. I'll smooth out the contact surfaces, but don't change the weight or travel.

If the slide won't lock to the rear on your BG, try new mags. S&W replaced my two mags that wouldn't engage the slide stop with ones that did.
