    .32 Safety Hammerless 3rd Model

Here is the .32 Safety Hammerless carried over from another post. It letters as a factory 1 1/2" barrel. I have been told that somewhere around 20 1 1/2" Model Safety Hammerless 3rd models were produced and the vast majority of those were in .38 caliber. Possibly as few as 5 were made in .32...

Need some help with this one!

When you take that sideplate off, be sure to use some good gunsmithing screwdrivers ! Don't further depreciate any condition issues by buggering up the screws.

    38 - 40 Russian Model Serial Number 29

That is a once in a lifetime find for a S&W collector. I believe too that it would certainly bring 5 figures in todays market. My late father had a find similar to that. He bought a near perfect .32 Safety Hammerless with a 1 1/2" barrel for very little money. The big question for him (and the...

    1st model Russian value sought

If it were mine, I'd have it either confirmed or denied as original by the best sources available (which it sounds like your doing). It will mean the difference between (as you know) a $15,000+ pistol or a $1500...

Best .357 load for woods carry in Colorado

The first time I went elk hunting in Colorado back about '90 or '91, I was just sure that I needed a handgun for bear protection. The biggest one I owned at the time was a Model 19. I bought a couple of boxes of Winchester BLACK TALON 180 gr. loads for that purpose. I never got the opportunity...

    What is it worth???

Man, something like you describe is so uncommon (only 2 rounds in it's nearly 100 yr. life) it would be hard to value. With 2 barrels to boot. Maybe around $2500 ??? Maybe more ???
