    Model 631 LadySmith 32 Magnum

Congratulations, if you get it. Mine isn’t the Lady Smith model, but it’s still a fun little J frame. And 32Long and Short both shoot in this; those shorts are REALLY short!

    So now I gotta ask

All my revolvers are Smiths, except for one Charter Arms Bulldog; so maybe 99% S&W. Autos: maybe 33% S&W (3rd Gens) as nd the rest are other brands. (If S&W currently produced 356TSW or 357Sig, the percentage would be noticeably better.)

    So I just picked up a 5904...

That has the squared trigger guard, the 5904’s I’ve seen all had round trigger guards. FWIW

    3rd Gen Frankengun build

I’m late to this party but definitely enjoying it. That should be an interesting pistol.

What was the purpose of Close Quarter Battle Pistols?

Standard vs better I understand even the standard 3rd Gen 45ACPs shoot well and basically are just plain special. The CQB versions, as posted above, were Performance Center designed and manufactured, and to arguably better performance. There should be plenty of pics here in this forum; if I...

    640-1 at pawn shop

Deaf, Congratulations on your 640-1. I have one with me almost every day, they are just really handy, reliable, and comforting to have around. Very flexible in what kind of ammo we can load them with. Don’t remember ever hearing of one of these dash one’s breaking. And it should last just...

    New model registered magnum 27-8

This thread may be a bit dated now, but at least for my 3.5”er, to obtain the Registration Certificate, you had to request it from Lew Horton. Great 8X357s.

    908 ammo

Mine, in my hands, empties mags of Winchester 147JHPs into one hole when at about 30’ when do my job. That pistol always makes me look better than I am. :D

    9 X 21 IMI, The Poor Man's .356 TSW?

Well if factory ammo is available, then I can look for a 3rd Gen 356TSW for my retirement present. Hot Dog! I appreciate the 40S&W, and often carry a 357Sig, but factory ammo for a good 3rd Gen in 356TSW is what I prefer.

(Pic added!) Gun show find, Model 908

Congratulations, those are real sleepers. FWIW, I believe Blade Tech makes holsters. Mine has always done best for me with 147gr subsonics.

    Seeking Opinions On Walther PPK/S - .22lr & .380 VS USA Semi's

I have to agree it depends on what you think is "best". Newer designs are easier to work on and cost less; for example the Glock 42 .380ACP. The G43 isn't much larger and is in 9X19. My PPK is finely machined, accurate, and holds me accountable for my grip, trigger squeeze, and maintance...
