    PA Gov gets it!

I had to laugh a little. When I went to get my PA pistol permit, I asked the undersheriff if I had to register my guns on the permit (being from NY, I thought it was a legitimate question). He looked at me quizzically, and asked, "Why the hell would you want to do that?" You guys are way...

Do You Like The Smell Of Hoppe's #9?

It always takes me back to memories of my Dad cleaning his service revolver. I was a "range rat", hanging out at the police range on nights he shot and that smell is burned into my mind forever. Since he's gone now, it's one of the things that instantly transports me back to a very happy time.

    Hammer or Hammerless

To bob, or not to bob, that is the question... I prefer hammerless or bobbed hammers due to the advantage of being able to draw from a pocket. In general, a bobbed hammer requires you to shoot double action only, and my 65 is set up from the factory with a bobbed hammer / dao. My model 10 has...

New holster for my Colt 1903

Great looking holster, nice quality! If you paid 65.00 for that you got a tremendous bargain. Nice job on the stitching. For Oldfed, I have run silvertips and gold dots through my 1903 .380's and they both work well in mine. YMMV.

    Model 10, any fans?

One of the best I have owned is a 2" model 10-5 round butt. Bobbed hammer, and about the best timing and lockup I have ever felt. Great size, great balance, and 6 rounds. About the perfect package.

    Been awhile but I'm back.

Thanks to all of you who messaged to find out if all was well after I seemingly dropped off the face of the earth. I had been taking a break from the internet forums for the last few months. Had a couple of significant family losses, but it's time to get back to enjoying life. Good to be back.

649-2 with BNY serial number prefix?

I was holding out hope that it was a prefix reserved for NYPD or something like that, although it's not a DAO. I'll do some more checking. Thanks for the replies! John

649-2 with BNY serial number prefix?

I just found a 649-2 with a BNY prefix on the serial number. I looked in Supica and cant find any reference to that particular listing. Similar prefixes were made in the early 90's. Any ideas? Thanks. John

As does my 457. It sometimes happens with my Sig 226 as well. No stress.
