My dad has a Rem 700 varmint model and I have a Rem model 788, both are extremely accurate. It is a caliber that is hard to find now but is easily reloaded. Believe it is better in the ballistics than the 223, which I admit I shoot more than the 222.

Anything airweight will do in 38. The 357 will have to much recoil for her to shoot comfortable. Nothing better than wadcutters for damage with low recoil.

This is probable an old tale, as the NYSP ordered the model 520 and changed the order and adopted the newly released stainless L-frame Model 681 instead. Both guns were fixed sighted 357 mag. The model 520s came with grips that didn't match the gun, common place, my model 520 doesn't match...

The front sight is the correct length, the red ramp looks like paint, not the normal plastic insert. The agency marked model in the SCSW is NYSP, not the NYPD. The model 28 has a huge following and certain people collect PD marked models. It is worth what you want to pay for it. Good luck...
