I used the Modified nut. There is a gap about the width of a dime between the top rails but, I haven't figured out a way to close it yet. I think it is because of the counter bore depth in the standard AR barrel nut. Regardless,it is mounted solid as a rock.

My 15 OR has the 1/9 Twist barrel and shoots beautifully. Wouldn't change a thing!

Updated picture of mine after installation of a 13"Troy Alpha rail and Magpul BUS.

Did the opposite too. Bought a M&P-15 and then 15-22 because I couldn't afford to shoot the 5.56. I have each rifle outfitted with the same Troy 13" Alpha Rail, Magpul ACS-L stock, Magpul Grip, and Sightmark sight. Other than the weight, they feel very much the same.

Magpul rail? All Ive ever seen from them were 2-piece handguards. if you are trying to install a longer handguard, a low profile gasblock wont help you.

Take about a 5" piece of black electrical tape and put it on the inside of the top of the stock bore where is slides on to the buffer tube.. Worked great for me until I bought my Magpul ACS-L.

Got mine too. Maybe this is a sign that the M22 will start showing up in stock again. Its my favorite!

Ive had a 10/22 and they are great but I prefer my 15/22. For me, its just as accurate and a lot more fun to shoot. FYI, I free floated my barrel and couldn't tell any difference in accuracy. I think it has a lot more to do with the guy behind the trigger than any fancy mods or doo dads. That...

Here's mine. I added a Magpul ACS-L stock, Magpul grip and grip wedge, Sightmark holographic sight, Tacticool22 charge handle, Magpul foregrip, and a no-name free-float handguard using Tacticool22 adaptor.

FP-10 works best for me.
