I grabbed a cheap 10-8 4" SB Smith because I want to use it as a base to learn more about working on revolvers. I want to cut it to RB, and bob the barrel to the end of the ejector rod housing. What do you recommend to cut these with? Dremel, Grinder, hacksaw, something else? I don't expect...

Build it on a pistol lower, use a brace instead of an actual buttstock, and no $200 needed.

I almost grabbed one myself, but was afraid I'd never find a barrel. Instead I picked up a Police Trade In Pencil Barrel 10. I'm going to try to round butt it, trim the hammer, and cut the barrel to 3".

What are the 29-2's without boxes going for?

I've never owned any of the big 45?? series, but always wanted one, just never hit it at the right price. I loved my little 3913, but now there are so many choices that are lighter and/or carry more ammo, it's hard to justify keeping it.

Where does one find these?

Not sure where to put this, since I have both revolvers and semi-auto's, but... I'd like to have S&W boxes for some of my Smith's that didn't come with them upon buying. Is there a ready source for these, or am I going to be relegated to using generic black boxes from Pelican or the like...
