    Engraving

I have never had a gun engraved and do not seek to collect them, however, I do have nine engraved 357s spanning the whole spectrum from prewar to internal lock. From this I have a pretty good feel for engraving and know what I like. The S&W factory will do fantastic engraving, but there are many...

    Model 27 --50TH. Anniversary ?

27-3 This platform variation was used for a number of commemoratives, including the 50th Anniversary of the .357. The commemorative models do not command much of a premium, if any, in today's market. But the gun is still a five-inch model 27 and as such is worth at least the going rate for a...

Help with date of manuf on my new 27-6

Model 27-6 Came out in 1993 and the model 27 was discontinued in 1994. That makes the 27-6 fairly scarce, less the one year of production. Congratulations.

    NEW BLOODWORK GUN - OPINIONS

UDR The correct name for this gun is Ultimate Defense Revolver, or UDR, at least that is what the original issue was called. The gun Clint used in Blood Work was very similar except it had a fluted cylinder. Several collectors have had the PC fit fluted cylinders on their UDR and occasionally...

    NEW BLOODWORK GUN - OPINIONS

Pre-lock vs Lock I believe S&W makes great products, so the lock is the lock, not a fault. I prefer prelock because it limits my collection. Prelock guns are to me what P&R guns are to some people. With that in mind, I think prelocks are more collectible, and will command a higher price today...

    .357 transitional postwar value

Post-War Transition .357 Sure, I'll take a stab at it. Original finish? Correct grips? Correct pre-war parts? No rust or pits? Unknown provenance. And some holster wear, whatever that means. FYI the five-inch barrel on these models is the norm, as is 3.5 and 8 3/8ths, the known population are...

627-3 8-shot unfluted 627-3 V-Comp, 3.5 with the comp attached. Actual barrel is 2 5/8ths, like the UDR.

    M & P 357 sig. ???

M&P in .357 SIG I have had one for about a year and a half now and love it. Ammo is expensive and uncommon, reloading components are expensive and uncommon, but its a .357 X 16 X 5 mags. The only problem I have with it is it won't shoot .38 Specials. I wonder about having a 9mm barrel fitted...

WTB 627 No Dash and 627-1

Thanks Revolver King Thanks to Revolver King another variation turned up. A 627-3 that I thought only existed as a 627-PC, same configuration as the current 627-5. Still seeking 627 (no dash) and 627-1. If you don't want to sell how about some photos?

    Wtb 357 registered

357 Registered I have one that I'll consider selling. It is 6.5-inch blue all original as factory lettered (Call gold bead), except it is wearing a nice set of Roper grips. The gun displays very well, original bright blue, appearing 98% on casual observation, but under the stocks are some areas...
