    sw40ve

Oldtime DA revolver guy here. I love my SW40VE, and yes, I actually like the trigger. Like you, I have noticed us old timers seem to handle that Sigma trigger just fine. Our trigger fingers are acclimated from years of DA shooting I reckon!

New To Me! Model 66-4 4"

My 4" 66 has been my go-to .357 for 31 years. Still shoots like the day I bought it. Went through Basic Training with it in 1984, carried as a South Louisiana Deouty Sheriff for years until we went to autos. I still carry it a lot, and always when in the wild (which I am a lot)!

    Accurate 9 versus unique 2400?

I use 2400 for my full house magnums, .357 and .44, andi use it a lot in the old "Skeeter Skelton 158 LSWC .357 in a .38 case, crimped on the top lube groove" load. My revolvers love it. I use Unique for .45 acp, .38 Special, 9mm, .40 S&W, 45 Colt, .44 Special. And I use Unique for mid level...

    .45 ACP Bullet Mold Recommendation?

I use the LEE 6 cavity 230 gr TC tumble lube, LEE 2 cavity 230 gr RN tumble lube, and the LEE 200 gr RNFP conventional lube. For my .45 acp casting. All of them work flawlessly. I shoot them in my RIA 1911, Xd .45 Tactical, and Ruger P345. The bullets shoot accurately and flawlessly. The only...

    S&W 66

I started my LEO career with a 4" 66 in August of 1983. I still carry that same 66 in the woods/fields or for any outdoor activities, and I do A LOT of outdoor activities. Lord knows how many rounds that old 66 has fired. I went through basics with it in 1984. I shoot a good bit. I mostly...

Any Marlin 1894 .44 Mag Owners here on the Forum?

Used one on my ranch for years. Carried it in a scabbard either on my saddle if I was on horseback, or I would tie the scabbard to the tractor when bush-hogging the pastures. Coyotes would follow that tractor to catch the mice and rabbits running from the grass. Many a coyote, snake, armadillo...

    Ruger LCR .357

I have a .357 LCR and carry it daily. Great little revolver with one of the best double action triggers I've ever experienced. Handle .357's well for a 17 oz. gun. I shoot mine a lot. The only bullet I ever had jump crimp was a .357 handloaded, home cast, 158 LSW. This bullet does NOT jump...
