    Speaking of disapointing 22 ammo.

I have a batch of rimfire rifles and pistols that all run very well with CCI Mini Mag but not much else and none of them will run any standard velocity ammo. I tried the CCI HV Clean ammo in all the guns that run will with Mini Mag and they don't like it. I just chalk it up to being another...

    Barrel for AR15 223 upper

Odin Works makes phenomenal barrels, I have had excellent results with the many I have. I have never had an availability problem and they have gotten the nod many times as they were the only product that would check all the boxes AND was available. Rock River Arms makes some good ones but...

    Glock 23, gen3

3rd gen G23's are probably the best of all the Glock pistols in my opinion. I would not hesitate to pay that dollar amount for the gun and 5 mags. Also, you can use the larger G22 mags if you don't mind it sticking out a bit. I carry mine with a G23 mag in the mag well and my reloads are G22 mags.

    Why no 20 inch?

I have yet to find an off the shelf large frame AR that is truly, consistently sub MOA accurate. I have been through several in a quest to get rounds on target at long range. .308 was a disappointment across the board. You can't push pressures in a gas rifle like you can in a bolt rifle to get...

    Man blows up house reloading

6 lbs of powder will NOT blow up a house. Start a fire, yes, blow up a house, NO.

Beginner looking for tips - IDPA

I shoot USPSA and Steel Challenge. Other than just learning the action pistol game and navigating stages, my first big breakthrough was shooting a CLEAN sub 2-second Bill drill. I started at 7 yards and did not move the target back until I was consistently scoring all Alpha. The next natural...

    Dan Wesson (CZ) 1911 Questions

I have a PM9 and a PM45. I will have more DW 1911's. By far, the absolute best 1911's I have ever owned or shot and there have been many, including custom builds. The PM9 has been used heavily in USPSA in excess of 20k rounds and is still as tight as it was when new. The PM45 has been used...

    300 BLACKOUT ?s

Bolt action or gas rifle? This is important for a lot of reasons ... .300 Blackout is an interesting critter in a gas rifle when you are reloading.

    1911 Caspian?? 9mm?

Caspian did assemble and sell complete guns for a short period of time but most that you find started out as a short block kit that someone fitted up and assembled. Usually they are not marked by the person who assembled but sometimes you can find a stamp somewhere. Hopefully you can ask who did...

    Mod 28 gas cutting ??

Pics? I am curious what makes the barrel 'shot out'. I have several 629's that have flame cutting. It got to a certain point then stopped.

    Stock up!

It is the CONSUMER and the END USER who is the life blood of the shooting industry. We as consumers and end users need to make sure to NOT FORGET. We need to make sure that all the gougers who took advantage during this ultimately UNDERSTAND that we the consumers and end users REMEMBER who...

Anyone else having problems with Dillon CS?

I highly doubt that Dillon is making a deliberate decision to reduce the quality of customer service. Lots of different places have been hit hard this last year and if they were one of thousands who closed down for a period of time and then have been short staffed since, there is a very high...

    45 acp reloading issue

My PM45 has a tight chamber but my PM9 has an 'average' chamber. I have to give a lot more attention to detail when loading for my PM45. I case gauge every single round I load and there is a small bit of tolerance with PM9 ammo whereas there is zero tolerance with PM45.

    Rifle Powder Question

I am looking forward to OP feedback on this powder after load development. Are you shooting a gas rifle or bolt rifle?

    trigger reset

No. I can NOT count. I've shot that clean maybe two times. It's fun though. As for USPSA, I shoot Carry Optics and Limited, both with a Walther PPQ Q5 Match. My EDC just happens to be a 4" PPQ ... As for 'ride the reset' or 'play the reset game' - nope, not even a little bit.

    357 Magnum & H110 low velocity

One other thing, test barrels do not have a barrel/cylinder gap which is a huge variable with muzzle velocity in a revolver. In my experience with several different chronographs and many different loads and different guns, .357 Magnum is somewhat of a weird one.

Not looking for a fight ...

I don't do it. I store my powder in a wood filing cabinet in my garage. Relatively controlled environment, dry and cool. Powder has always been good, even after many years of storage of partly used containers.
