That's probably fine if you wear size 38 pants, some us where 32's or smaller. No way will a Shield fit in my pockets unless I get the gang banger style pants........and that ain't happening.

Got my new Shield last week and one of the first things I noticed, is a pretty slippery grip. My fs 9 and M&P 22 don't seem to be as much of an issue. I suppose it seems worse on the Shield because the grip is narrower. What have you guys done to yours? Talon? Stippling? Just looking for...

We moved to Fallon (30 miles from Silver Springs) nearly 8 years ago from Sacramento and have ZERO regrets................except possibly the cold freaking winters.

Yep, they only come with one, which is stupid. Plus they are very hard to find.

Mine is fairly new, and so far has never had a hiccup with Federal hollowpoint bulk stuff. In fact, I haven't found anything it won't eat. Never once has it had any problem with any ammo. I call it my pistol that thinks it's a 10/22. :p

For such a popular gun, I'm sure reading about a LOT off issues with them. I just got mine a few days ago, but have yet to fire it. I have my fingers crossed.

Ouch! That is high. My gunsmith charges $10 for transfers, and there is a Pawn Shop in town that does them for free. But then the state of Nevada hits you for $25 for the Brady fee. :rolleyes:

Keep checking Kitterytradingpost. Last week they sold 500 Shields in 3 1/2 days. I was fortunate enough to get one at $429 + $35 for overnight shipping. They don't show any now, but someone on the forum said they are supposed to get more. Kittery Trading Post

No blasting here. ;) I got my M&P 22 to be a companion to my M&P 9 full size. The 9mm has no safety, nor did the Glock 19 it replaced, or any other pistol I have ever owned. I don't train anyone, so why have a safety I will never use? Plus it looks so much cleaner with out it. But hey, if...
