Will Duracoat Void Warranty?

The only place you can get an accurate and definitive answer to that is the manufacturer of your firearm. They are the keeper of the warranty.

I would imagine it would. There was a guy several years ago (his name escapes me) that people here would send stainless M&P slides to have polished. I called him a couple of years ago, and he said he stopped doing it because Smith would not honor the warranty. With that thinking, I assume a coating would also void it. But, calling them is the only way to know for sure.
Definitely check with S&W before doing any modifications on your handgun. Even if your mods have absolutely no bearing on performance sometimes manufacturers look for excuses to void the warranty. I can't say for sure if that pertains to S&W. A phone call will tell you.

And as a precaution you might want to get it in righting not everyone reads the information their co supplies the same way. i.e. talk to them about a part one will tell you they don't sell it call right back talk to some else you got it.
I am always surprised when people choose to ask other people (who often just make assumptions) about voiding warranty issues with something when often even the manufacturers have to differ to the lawyers to get correct answers.
never ask anyone but the manufacturer about what will or wont void a warranty, its just basic common sense to not risk getting bad info however good intended it is.

Some of you guy's need to read better.
He asked about the frame and poss. the slide.
Duracoat will come off of polymer frames with most plastic safe strippers if your worried about warranty.
I used a pressure washer once.
He did not say anything about stripping melonite slide.
I imagine he just wants it a different color.
Some people like to customize while other's wouldn't dare.
