Hoppes #9 will damage the Governor!

If Melonite is Tenifer....then there must be a ba-jillion Glocks that have been damaged. I just took a quick look at mine to verify the damage - but I could not find any. Lucky for me, I've been bathing my Glock in Hoppes for years. Seriously - there are some very strong ammonia based bore...

    17 or 617?

Any S&W Revolver will be a pleasure to own and shoot. Can't comment on the 617 because I dont have one. You can't go wrong with one of these though.....Poor picture compared to most of the posters here... Shooter686

    New 642 without the lock

I recently purchased a 642-1 no lock. Great gun. Its so light you can forget you have it with you. It talks to you when you shoot it! As for the finish - its a coating and not anodizing. Time will tell how it holds up. One thing is certain - coating or not, you can carry and handle it all day...

Question about SW J Frame Grips

Thanks DB - The Spegel is the only one I've been able to confirm that goes all the way to the top. I use a very high hold and/or have big hands so I'm looking for one that goes to the top. Thanks 9399 - the Uncle Mikes is highly recommended as well. I'm not sure about the speed loader or speed...

Question about SW J Frame Grips

Hello All- Can anyone answer me this: Does the j frame grip available from S&W at the link below cover the backstrap AND will it cover the frame all the way to the top of the backstrap on a 642 AND is it wider than the compact rubber S&W with open backstrap? Oh, and if its not to much trouble...

All of the photos of your rigs are fantastic! I've been eyeballing various holsters for a while. The pictures of your actual working holster/gun combos beat the stock holster manufacturer photos any day of the week! Shooter686

Let's talk about loading for J-Frames...

Very Good Question. Answer - My primary interest is in airweight loads that are shootable all day without damage to the shooter or firearm. I'm not overly interested in loading SD ammo and would probably use commercial fodder for that purpose. But I want to shoot, enjoy, and be profficient with...

Very interesting lighting in the update photo. It could almost pass for a blued 29. Might you be willing to share some details of how that photo was taken? Shooter686
