    Model 41/22 grips

Yes, I use my 41 for steel and it is fantastic. I currently have a C-More RTS sight on it.

    Model 41/22 grips

I have Herrett's "Flat Housing Trainer" grips on mine. I got them here: S&W Model 41 Herrett Flat Housing Trainers :: S&W Model 41 Parts :: Bullseye Gear They are intended to mimic the grip of a 1911 pistol. I absolutely love them. As you can see, the magazine release is totally exposed. I...

    Silly Red Dot Question

If you decide to go with a tube-type dot, I have a Bushnell TRS-25 brand new in the box, never out of the original packaging. This is a very nice little sight, compact and lightweight with an integral Weaver mount. 3 MOA dot would be good on a rifle. I will take $75 shipped. Read about them...

WTS: Weigand Combat Weaver Rail for Ruger Mini-14 & Mini-30

I have for sale one Weigand "RANCH+ WEAV-A-TINNY" scope or red-dot mounting rail to fit Ruger Mini-14 Ranch, Mini-30, PC-9 & PC-40 rifles. It is in silver finish and is in excellent+ used condition. I tried it on my Mini-30 for one or two range sessions with a red-dot sight on it, but I...

    629 5" Classic Questions

I have a 6½" 629-5 Classic DX and I can believe the action was tuned at the factory - it has an extremely nice double action trigger pull.

    .22lr Target Pistol

I have a M41 with a Clark Custom STC barrel and a C-More RTS red dot for steel, and I absolutely love it. A fantastic gun, incredibly accurate, and (I think) worth the money. I recently bought a Buckmark to use as a iron-sight plinker. It is very comfortable in the hand (URX grip) and has a...

    Red Dot sights

I have posted these before, but here are Leupold DeltaPoints on my 617 and 625, on Allchin mounts (a great setup). The 617 now has a Burris FastFire III, which is not as good a sight as the DeltaPoint but is easier to adjust, and much less expensive. For that reason, FF IIIs are also going on...

Moon clips with a Model 25-2?

I have both (5" 625 & 6½" 25-2). Moon clips are great for competition, for obvious reasons, but for casual range work and plinking, I much prefer Auto Rim brass. Loading and unloading moon clips is a pain, and takes longer than inserting individual rounds into the cylinder.

    .45 Auto Rim?

To update this thread, I bought some .45 Auto Rim brass from Starline and just loaded my first 100. I found I had to back my expander die out some (from .45 ACP setting) to avoid over-working the case mouths. The AR brass appears to be a little longer, and that is confirmed by the specs on the...

help finding new sights for 625

I think the LPA adjustable rear sight for S&W revolvers is fantastic: http://www.lpasights.com/catalogTXT.html I have one on my 629 paired with a .300 tall SDM fiber optic front sight, and they work great together. Also a good setup for competition. Perhaps I should mention the main body of...

    4" 25-2 Question

I think a 25-2 in any barrel length is one of the most attractive guns ever made. Yours is sure a beauty and unique item as well.

    .45 Auto Rim?

Thinking about loading some .45 auto rim for my 625 and 25-2. I understand I can use .45 ACP dies, but will the dies need to be re-adjusted as I go from one to the other? i.e. will I need a separate set of .45 ACP dies adjusted specially for the Auto Rim brass?

    Low Recoil Load

I assume your inquiry concerns 9mm. My normal match load, 3.2 Titegroup, gives me 130-135 PF in several 5" guns. I use 3.0 with 147 plated bullets at an indoor range for casual plinking.

    value of 24-3

As a point of interest or comparison, you can buy a brand new one ("Classic" model) from Jet Guns for $789 shipped (I realize your buyer might prefer your vintage gun).

Clean burning powder for .45 acp/9 mm

The other day I was shooting some light target loads in my 25-2 (230 gr. plated), some with WSF and some with WST. The WSF left a very noticeable amount of residue in the cases, but the WST cases were completely clean, not a trace of residue. Lately I have been using WST exclusively for .45.

    629 dot mount

Where did you find a FastFire III? I didn't think they were out yet. I very highly recommend one of these mounts: New S&W Mini STS Mount - Allchin Gun Parts It mounts the scope as low to the bore as possible and in the same location as the stock iron rear sights. I have used them to mount...

SPF: M&P 9L Open/Steel Gun Built by David Bowie

Sold pending funds. I have for sale one Open or Steel gun built in 2010 by David Bowie (Bowie Tactical Concepts) on a new S&W M&P 9L. The gun has about 2100 rounds through it and is in excellent condition and works perfectly. It may need a new striker spring as the primers show somewhat light...
