Some brands/models:
S&W Shield
S&W 3900 series (out of production I think but can be found used)
S&W M&P Compact with the small grip insert
All Kahr models are slim handled guns
Only 4 more oz for a few extra rounds in an easier to shoot package. Assuming reliability is there, a nice step up. I have a CM9 that is similarly just a little heavier than my 340M&P/LCR but holds 2 more and is noticeably easier for me to shoot well.
Keep in mind that a lightweight 20 gauge might have more recoil than a standard 12 gauge. But if the shooter is unable to manage the weight of the 12...
Millions upon millions of properly loaded Speer rounds get fired every year but an alert needs to be raised?
This thread should be called "Don't be a moron and load an obviously defective round into your gun and attempt to fire it".
Though there can be a lot of target transitions in ICORE, I think that accuracy is a more prominent requirement than it is in USPSA. The heavier and longer barrels are better at resisting the motion of a fast trigger pull and reduce muzzle flip. But you don't see the top shooters using 8"...
The times when I ran this drill with a shock knife welding attacker for increased stress, the momentum would carry them into you. They are 3yds out before you even clear the holster. Best to backpedal and sidestep quickly while firing to arm extension.
This really pushes the envelope when...
You would need to open up the rear notch with a file. Even with that, the xs front sight won't sit even in the rear notch it will be coming out of the top a bit.
Usually I do more so for topping off "after" or dealing with malfunctions rather than capacity. Comp-tac makes a good clip on kydex mag holder and Desantis has a good inside the pocket one. DON'T buy one of those holsters with the magazine pouch attached to it. It complicates the reloading...
Next time it goes click, recock the hammer and hit it again. If it doesn't go off it's the ammo. If it does, then it could be a number of other issues related to the gun. Thankfully 22 is cheap enough to try a couple of different brands. I'm surprised SIG didn't put recommended brands in...
That ammo is supposed to be designed for rifles but it's probably just marketing. Since this is a new kit, you just need to find out what works best in it. Did the rounds go off when you recocked the hammer and hit them a second time?
It creates a marginally "better" wound profile. As to whether or not that would make it a better stopper, perhaps in percentages so low as to be meaningless.
I have not shot it yet. I would be interested if the muzzle blast and recoil were not much more than the .38 load. Both loads should penetrate deeply enough to strike a vital structure. The rest is up to how fast and accurately you can put the rounds in the right place, and how much the bad...
