    642 PC vx 637 PC

Great choice sir. Something else to think about is if you ever buy a J frame, standard or PC version, I have always dry fired mine at ;east 3000 times before carrying it and then take it to the range for a session of practice with my carry ammo. I know this sounds like allot of dry firing but...

Where do you buy ammo online at?

I was wondering where many of you purchase your ammo online, especially defensive ammo since most places do not carry the particular defensive ammo that we are always looking for. I am specifically looking for some Speer Gold Dot short barrel 38 special 135 grn +P, #53921. Looking for places...

Which is your FAVORITE S&W revolver?

I would say the J frame since that is the only S&W revolver I have ever owned. Just like the versatility of being able to hide them like skittles.

    M&P 340 & 442 range report...

Im not even putting the pin back in, dont need it.. I have another set of blue lava grips coming from Hogue too. Got the texted grip for the 340 though. Love these bantam grips on the j frame. It allows for a higher up grip with your middle finger than the altamonts do.

    M&P 340 & 442 range report...

actually guys I just realized it is the pin for the rope attachment if I wanted one. I realized there is a scalloped part at the bottom of the grip that allows for a tether and the pin fell out when I took off the grips. No worries now I know what it was..

    M&P 340 & 442 range report...

I recently posted about the decision between the 442 and the M&P340. I had an overwhelming amount of interest and opinions and I greatly appreciated them. I went ahead at that time and bought the 442 because I got it NIB at my local store for $310.00 plus tax which was an absolutely great deal...

Need advice, 442 or M&P 340, your thoughts..

OK fellows, I have been looking at the 340 models (M&P and PD models) and there is really only about $100.00 difference in them if I buy a new one via prices on GB. Now that I have the 442, I still want a 340 model since I am really liking the darker color with picking up the sight quicker but...

Need advice, 442 or M&P 340, your thoughts..

OK, you guys with the 340PD's what did you pay and does your have the IL? I ask because it seems an average NIB 340PD is 800.00. That is 500.00 more bucks than the 442 that I just bought... I am not against it, it just seems to me to be allot for a red sight, 4 ounces less and 357 capable which...

Need advice, 442 or M&P 340, your thoughts..

Just to clear up some miss information here guys. The M&P340 weighs .9 oz lighter than the 442. The 340PD weighs 3 ounces less than the 442 because it has the ti cylinder. I think there has been some confusion here,,, Want to make sure we are all on the same page. Thanks for all of your replies...

Need advice, 442 or M&P 340, your thoughts..

Mine has a flat black coating on the aluminum frame and then the barrel and cylinder are steel blue or almost black but not like the frame is. First one I have seen like this but I am alright with it. Cant wait to see how it wears as I love guns that have been used and show it...

My 2 new J's with new shoes. Gotta love them Altamonts.

I am toying around practicing with my hks speed loads and the boot grips work awesome. The combats are not so great. I might see if altamont can do their magic on the grip to allow more clearance for the speed loader. I just hate sending stuff back though. grrrrr
