Since I generally only take two, maybe three pistols to the range at a time, my bag is big enough to carry them along with appropriate ammo, my "eyes & ears", cleaning rags, chewing gum, utility blade, & a small assortment of tools. With a few boxes of ammo in it, it can get a little heavy...

Some years back I got into the habit of throwing every quarter I get into an empty gallon pickle jar...when it's full it's right at nine hundred bucks. And, since it's not money saved for a particular thing or purpose, I make a point to use it for buying something fun or having a good time...

For clarity's sake, I was referring to the box that the single pistol is packed in from the factory, not the box that several units might have been shipped together in.

If I don't get the box with a brand new gun then I won't be getting the gun, at least, not at that LGS...to me, it is a package deal.
