M&P 9L slide and barrel value?

Does it have the Leupold Delta Point sight sitting on top of it?

M&P 9L slide and barrel value?

Seems pretty pricey. That entire gun can be had new, for $650. I would pass.

Did it again. Took a bunch of guns to school.

Treating them as if they are loaded all the time has always kept me and those around me safe. I guess I never thought of it, but I do teach that way as well. I do however - use the term "unloaded" - I just don't point the business end at anything that bleeds. I have seen shotgun...

    Threads You Routinely Ignore ?

"Mil Spec" threads and anything posted by tacticool "operators", who think the beat-all end-all of existence is Eugene Stoner's masterpiece which poops where it eats. ...and posts by Smoke. :D

"Please don't thank me for my service"

My dad used to say "suck it up". That's pretty much all you need to do a lot of times. If thanking me makes them feel good about themselves, I don't mind being a part of it. There's so many bad things on this rock, that I try to embrace the things that are on the good side of the ledger. :)

    new Sport 15 mislabled: 1/9 v. 1/8 5R = not happy

I wouldn't get in a twist about it if it shot straight, but that's just me. This is proof that most people who are happy with something never say much, but one disgruntled customer usually will tell everyone they know. For what it's worth - If I were in a position of any importance at Smith...

    Why

"Jumbo Shrimp" always makes me ponder, as well. Also people calling things the wrong name, makes me wonder WHY?!!! That big white cylinder in your laundry room/basement/garage is not a "Hot Water Heater" ! It's a water heater. If your water was already hot, you wouldn't need a water heater...

Anyone else think: "I should have got a 9 mm instead?"

The only time I like shooting 10mm is when I'm shooting the Delta Elite. Like many say, I find .40 S&W a little too "snappy" in a smaller gun (the Glock 27 is a handful, in my opinion).

New sport owner what's all mil spec

I am so going to use this. Thank you! Just my two cents here: "Mil Spec" means to me "military chamber that feeds and shoots everything at a degree of accuracy that is within nominal limits". I usually shorten that in my mind to read; "Loosey Goosey". :D

    Perfect storm for reloading 45acp?

I bought an 8-pound jug of Titegroup ($125) the other day. That represents over 11,000 loaded rounds of .45ACP in the future. Maybe I should get some more. :D

Should I pull the trigger on a 686-1 Silhouhette?

I don't see the price of 686s going down, so I'm with the post above. How badly do you want it? Who cares if it is near the top of what they are going for, if you really want it? It's just money. Offer $100 less and see what he says. That's not an insult to the seller, it's just being smart as a...

    Powders

I can't imagine needing powder so bad that I would buy it at one of those big-box stores. Around here, Varget is $17 per pound at my gun club (which they have all the time), but $29.95 at Gander Mountain (if they ever have it). Now Unique and Bullseye are something akin to unicorns around...
