I have two M&Ps: a 9FS and a 5" 9 Pro. The slide stop on the 9FS is quite stiff while the 9Pro is easier to actuate. However, the 9FS is much more likely to "auto-drop" on a mag insert. Make of that what you will.

Why would you want to do this? The large point of having a longer barrel is to have a longer sight radius. If you have a longer barrel but the same length slide, the sight radius is the same so no improvement is found.
