Just bought a Model 10-7 Bill Davis PPC Custom.

Congrats! Very nice revolver and the others are in that group too. Was lucky to have shot one years ago and it had the best trigger of any S&W I ever shot. Was young and can't remember the model or who did the work.

    New little 34

I slapped a Tyler on mine and it works well for me. Box and revolver were together and in fantastic shape IMO. I could see a larger hand person stepping up the size. For a 2" barrel accuracy is darn good. I took a couple of rabbits with it and will try for some squirells this fall. Great stew...

    New little 34

550.00 - 600.00 and maybe more on GB. Great deal and thats putting it mildly! Love my little 34, thats a SB! Their great little shooters and carry well for hiking.

    Should I make this trade?

I'd do it without a doubt! Not a pocket revolver but a better all around weapon.

educate me on s&w model 66-3

Don't scope it. If you can keep your shots close that 4" barrel will do the job with a heavy .357 bullet. I like keeping my shots at 50 yards and closer, especially with my eyes going slightly south. One day will have to slap a red dot on my 57, but not now. Great revolver you have that should...

Model 57 Dilemma; What to do?

Excellent decision! You made the right choice IMO and have 3 great revolvers in a kick butt caliber. Your 27 will come.

    Ah, the good old days...

Great post on a great revolver. Lots of beauties showing up and they all look great! Gotta love them K frames, especially the older ones!

    3" Model 66 Questions

If you can find a nice model for less than 1K with the box and all and can afford it I'd buy it as the prices aren't coming down. Little less for one missing it's box. IMO it's the handiest .357 ever to come off the line. Extremely accurate and handy to carry. I wouldn't take $1500.00 for my 3"...

Model 57 Dilemma; What to do?

"As I see it, I have at least several options. My first choice, and my wife's last, is to just wait out a nice Mod 27, and buy it out of "household" funds, thus keeping all three model 57's, while adding the Model 27; sounds good to me". Sounds like you answered the Q right there. Plenty of...

Can I use Hoppes on a Nickel Finish?

I only use it on the bore and cylinders to be safe and am careful doing that. No where else. Just a little bit in the wrong place can damage a nickels finish. I don't worry about the front of the cylinder either. I use Militec-1 lube conditioner on moving parts and wax the rest. JMO

    Convince me to buy a 2" 63

Have a 2" 34 and love the little bugger. Bought it ANIB for $500.00 and it's not going anywhere besides my safe and hip. It's just plain fun to shoot and an accurate revolver for a snub to boot. Did I mention it's really cheap and fun to shoot:)!

How did I do? 586 no dash

I'll second that without a doubt, Ray at Lobo will fix you up. His Askins Avenger with the reinforced mouth for easy re-holstering would be perfect for your 586 and matches. I've placing an order for that model for my new BHP Practical I'm going to use for IPSC. Have one for my Colt Commander...

    Shooter Grade 27-2

My thoughts exactly! Will have some safe queens coming up for sale in the future as I just don't shoot em. They are all lonely in the safe. CWO. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Thats a fine looking 27 you have there and it was meant for shooting! Hope you get 30k rounds through it as they...

Anyone had S&W rebarrel a revolver?

Had them recut the forcing cone and retime my 57 years ago. WAY too many full powered magnums (over 15-20K) and I shot it loose. Was spitting lead like crazy and lucky I didn't blow it up shooting DA. When I sent it in to retime it they told me the forcing cone had a crack in it. I never saw it...

    I finally found one! 27-2 3.5"

You came out good on that trade IMO! Would love a nickel version as a partner for my blued one.

    I finally found one! 27-2 3.5"

Welcome to the club and congrats on that beauty! Don't know what you paid but you'll thank yourself a few years from now as the prices are still climbing and the new models are a bad knock off of the originals IMO. They are the most handsome revolver to have ever come off the line. Mine's a...

    Model 19-3, 2.5 inch

Good shooting there with your classic 19. I'm really amazed at how accurate them little powerhouses are. Carry a 1911 but have swapped over to a 2.5" 66-2 for outdoor duties. Have it loaded with 158 gr. Speer Gold Dots in .357 mode. Most shoots are close to that distance. That group would...

Dan Wesson vs Smith & Wesson

The MOST accurate revolver I ever shot was a buddies 84-85 vintage .44 mag DW pistol pac with the hogleg barrel. Could nail a Budweiser cap with it at 25 yards all day. Wish I would have bought it from him when he sold it. My only shooting encounter with one so can't help you further than...

Recommended round for 2 1/2 barrel

135 gr. Speer Gold Dots, .38+P's in the Short Barrel version. Great penetration with the heavier round and little recoil for fast follow up shots. Use to pack their 158 gr. .357's but can shoot these .38's much better and the ballistics are fantastic. Way easier on the hand too!
