Sounds awesome to me. I have wanted to do that with a long barreled Model 25 .45 Colt but I haven't found the courage to cut up an S&W. John Gallagher has mutilated a couple of Rugers for me but that's an entirely different animal.

I shot my 4" Model 13 with 158 SWC handloads. We shot 48 rounds, I believe. In NC you have to have an 8 hour course with some range time prior to being issued a CC permit. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. There were some real knuckleheads in there.
