Here are some lousy pics......yes, it is from GB. Yall let me know how I did. Comments? Questions? Advice? You folks know lots more than me. Joe

500 including shipping. I have seen a couple of Jovino guns at shows in the past. But one thing, I saw a 45 Colt Jovino pic on here somewhere that had "45 COLT" on the barrel. This one has no markings at all on the bbl. I think it is a true Jovino- has the K frame size but that was obviously trimmed down from the N, thte teardrop shaped hammer spur, and the balldetent lock up on the crane. I ws just hoping it was not a fake. Joe

For $500 you're not going to ever loose your money.
IMO, unless you have an invoice from Jovino with the serial or a letter from Jovino stating they did the work..............who's to say that any competent machinist / gunsmith didn't modify it.

NICE No matter who did the work that is a nice find. You would have no trouble in the future getting your money + back.

St. regis.

that is pretty cool. I had never seen another one (other than mine) Mine has a 3" barrel and it has 45 Colt and Effector roll stamped into the barrel.

I'll get you a pic if your interested.

Chris

Nice catch!

It would have been more expensive if I'd seen it for sale.

I had just gone to wondering why it was still available when I bought it. Made me think that maybe it was a HO-AXE. I seldom find the acorn.

If I have a dream pistol I think a short barreled, round butt Model 25 .45 Colt is it. I'm very jealous.

Maybe the prices are falling or buyers holding off some because of the economy? Whatever, you got a real nice nut there!

May be a Behlert.
He was a very highly respected gunsmith
who did conversions ala Jovino.
I have a 25 in .45acp that looks identical
to yours. No non factory marks or any other
details that would tell us who did the work.

I have been looking for members who may understand these enough to describe some
detail that would confirm the maker.

In any case, the work is very good and that is enough for me.I feel lucky to have one.

By the way,very nice snubby.

Regis.........I found my Jovino at a pawn shop It is a 28-2, and thats one of two I know of. On this forum, "REDSFAN has" the twin of mine.

Mine is listed with a pic here under 28-2 Jovino. I paid $386.00 out the door.

VM and some of the other boys helped me identify mine. I had no idea what it was until I got help from the great guys on this forum.

The difference with mine is the .357 caliber and not .45. All of the I.D. marks are the same as your 25. I contacted Jovino's shop but got no answer. $500 was a steal. I had it up for sale or trade, and was offered a lot more than $500.
