Source for Sideplate Screws - 4 Screw Victory Model

Thank you, you've answered my questions! Though this is a war era Victory Model, it does have a large head upper screw. I'll get the flathead screw for the rear of the trigger guard and two small round head screws fitting one to the yoke. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Source for Sideplate Screws - 4 Screw Victory Model

Thank you! I was wondering if the screw just above the rear strap of the trigger guard is the same as the yolk screw? There is an eBay seller that has all but the screw at the rear strap of the trigger guard, but I don't know if that screw is shared with the yolk screw on the 4 Screw S & W's.

Source for Sideplate Screws - 4 Screw Victory Model

I have a parkerized WWII Victory Model in .38 Special that was "demilled" by drilling a hole in the underside of the barrel. I had a gunsmith fit a replacement Victory Model barrel and am now looking for the missing (4) side plate screws. I've looked at Numrichs without success. Please post...

Victory (Pre-Model 10) Hammer - Letter Stamp Meaning?

I have a Victory Model in 38 Spl. with a broken thumb spur on the hammer. It is stamped "M" on the left side (down low, so it doesn't show when assembled). Is there some significance to this letter stamp? I see on eBay, Victory Model hammers with different letter stamps. I ask because I...

"N" frame round to square butt conversion grips? Suggestions? Jaruwan?

Those are Ahrends grips. Unfortunately, they're out of business, but there are still a few NOS Ahrends grips on eBay - see seller: Gripseller The Ahrends grips (including their round to square butt) are excellent. So sad that they're no longer a going concern.

    Replacement Crane for 60-3 Ladysmith

I appreciate your comments! I definitely do have the larger, spring loaded yoke screw. I had forgotten that the pointed tip was spring loaded. This revolver came to me without yoke or yoke screw. I understand any yoke will likely require fitting, I do need to know which other models would...

    Replacement Crane for 60-3 Ladysmith

I did see the cylinders listed on eBay, but not quite sure what type of yoke I need for my 60-3. The front sideplate/yolk screw is larger than the middle screw. Could you explain more about the "new style yoke designed for the spring loaded plunger w/larger yoke screw"? Perhaps that's what I...

    Replacement Crane for 60-3 Ladysmith

This revolver came to me without the crane and crane (front sideplate) screw. I believe this would have had the pointed crane screw. Looking for these parts, are there other models besides the 60-3 that would have used this same crane? My plan was to have it glass beaded locally, so if it's...

Model 586 6" No Dash - Fell In My Lap!

I've seen a 686 match to that with the same front sight. It was a factory offering (686) product code 104207, though I don't know the corresponding 586 product code.

    Missing Hammer Nose Spring?

Was that to reduce the chance of puncturing the primer? I ask because my brother has a Model 10-8 with a broken hammer nose. I'm not sure when that would have been manufactured?

    Missing Hammer Nose Spring?

Stakeout, thank you for that excellent photo! That's far more descriptive than the schematic I was looking at. Are all of the .38 special K Frame hammer noses from the 1970's - 1980's interchangeable, save for the slot for the spring?

    Missing Hammer Nose Spring?

Being this appears to be essentially resolved, I have a similar/related question. I have a Model 64-5 that I purchased with the NY hammer (dao). I purchased a used K frame hammer (with spur and single action notch) off of eBay that looks like it is hard chrome plated. My original hammer had...

    My new-to-me 657

Thank you for the reloading sources, glenwolde! I'm a rookie reloader (with a couple of friends who can keep me off of the rocks!) - I'm now waiting for delivery of a set of dies, 1,000 pieces of Starline brass and 500 Hi Tek coated bullets from SNS Casting. A friend who is an avid reloader is...

    My new-to-me 657

Thank you for posting your 657 and range report! Attached is my recently aquired 657 no dash that I have yet to shoot. When mine arrived, it had the same Hogue rubber grips as yours. I replaced them with these - yet to be refinished Target grips. Mine hasn't been to the range with me, but...
