    CS-1 years of manufacture

1988, for the US Customs department. I would absolutely love to find one of those, that's probably my favorite L-frame. Post up some pics if you can!

    Wilson Combat revolver

After some pretty in depth searching I managed to find this: It was called the Wilson Combat W66CCR, with the CCR standing for "Custom Carry Revolver". Less than 100 were made between 1998 and 2001. The man at Wilson who did the work on them was Vic Tibbits. The grips are...

    The "PLUG" update

I don't think I'd want a loose piece underneath the sideplate like that. That could cause some real headaches if it ever came loose.

Thanks S.B., I'll keep my eyes open for a set.

If you could purchase just one...

I'd go with a 3" 686. It's small enough that you could carry it, at least in the winter, and still large enough to be comfortable shooting .357 Magnums. 6-shot or 7-shot is up to personal preference. ;)

    Model 63 22LR Kit Gun

I picked up this little Model 63-3 last month and just got around to posting pictures of it. I've been looking for a nice set of grips to give the grip a little more size but it's quite difficult to find much for a square butt j-frame. If anyone happens to know where I can locate some target...

What to Look for in a Top Break?

I have a love and fascination with top break revolvers. I would like very much to find a single/double action S&W to use as a range gun. From what my local gunsmith has told me, because the old S&W top breaks are at best over 70 years old, there are little to no spare parts left available for...

Dislike unfluted cylinders and lugged barrels

Typically speaking guns are about "necessary", they're about "want". I prefer a fluted cylinder but I have no qualms with a full lug barrel.

Looking for a Compact .357 Magnum for Winter Carry

With winter right around the corner and heavy coats and hoodies coming along with it, I am looking for a new stainless .357 Magnum I can carry concealed OWB. I have narrowed it down to the following models: S&W Model 60 3": Pros: Compact frame and grip make it much more concealable and has...

    Model 19-2, 4-inch, Nickel, June 1964

That is quite possibly the nicest looking revolver I've ever seen. I would love to have one like it.

How about a Model 66 and Model 67 picture thread

Model 67 .38 Combat Masterpiece Stainless: Model 66 .357 Combat Magnum Stainless: I find the S&W Model 66 and 67 to be one of the best balanced revolvers in my collection. I just wish I could find a proper set of grips for each of them and I'd be set. ;)

    Cleaning Nickle

Just remember that all polishes, like Flitz or Mothers, are abrasive. Don't go crazy with it or use it every time you clean or you'll polish away that pretty nickel finish.

    My Two Classics

I just thought I'd post up my two classic S&W's. Model 67 .38 Combat Masterpiece Stainless: Model 66 .357 Combat Magnum Stainless: I just added the 66 to my collection today.

I may pick up a set of those Spegels as well. I ordered a set of these from S&W for now:

A More Classic Look for my Model 60

I posted in an earlier thread that I was looking to replace the Hogue badger grips on my model 60 with some factory grips. I received those grips in the mail the other day and these are the results: And after 15 seconds worth of work with some red Testors paint, a nice improvement to the...

    My new Model 19-4 2.5"

I picked up this 2.5" Model 19-4 today from Bud's. One cylinder is slightly looser than the rest but overall lockup is excellent. The trigger is amazing, you just don't get the same trigger on modern S&W's. The bluing is in pretty good shape except for on a couple edges. I went to the store with...
