    Has anyone gone 100% revolver?

I have no plans to. I intend to keep some of each, as I like both types.

    9mm ammo fmj

Not an LEO, but, you might try the previously mentioned EFMJ, Cor-Bon Powerball (sic) or the new Hornady Critical Defense round. All of them are expanding bullets, none of them are hollowpoints. And at least one of them is non-+P. As far as +P ammo in your model 669, you could probably carry +P...

    S&W 6906

Carry it. As others have pointed out, it's not going up in value. And it makes a good carry gun.

    Smith and Wesson 22A-1 Prices

I think I paid about $100 for mine last year. It was actually priced close to $200, but I used the sale price of a Ruger Mk III for a trade-in.

Went to buy a 9mm, came back with a .38

So, the other day, I went down to the local gun store with the idea that I'd pick up this Walther P-1 I'd seen there. I got there, looked at the Walther, and just couldn't find much love for it, especially at the price they were asking (much more than the going rate.) HOWEVER, they had some...

    model 39 magazines

A week ago, I was at the range with my M39. The magazines I was using included some 10 round models I bought from seller on Gunbroker. One of them basically jammed in the grip. I had to hammer it out. Upon further examination, I see that my 10 round magazines have two different witness hole...

    How many is too many?

You can have Not Enough, or Enough, or possibly More Than Enough. You might even be able to have As Many As You Want. You can't have Too Many. I think the idea of "too many," as it applies to guns, is a concept put forward by anti-gunners. And we don't want to play into their hands.

    price check 5906

I agree with PX15. My first S&W was a 6906. I still have it, and I use it for a ccw gun. I think it's a fine gun.

    Understanding the .44 Special obsession

I read this whole thread, and I wish I hadn't. Because now, I'm finding myself wanting more .44 Specials (I currently own only one; a Taurus M445) and I cannot afford any. Small matter of being unemployed. What's more, when I'm working again, I may not be in a position to buy more handguns...

    6906 Info

Several years ago, I did a search for 6906s after I bought one. I found this information then. I don't remember where I got it from, but here it is. III. Firearm Information by Type C. Semi-Automatic Pistols 2. Models and Manufacturers r. Smith & Wesson 5. 69XX Series by Rick Moore...

    15 rd mags for 6906?

I don't know if you can still get them, but Ramline makes or made 15-round 69XX series magazines that fit flush into the 6906 grip. They were about the same size as the factory 12-rounders. I'm not certain what Ramline's reputation for quality is, but I've had no problems with the three I own.

    A .44 I can live with ...

Beautiful gun. One of my regrets is passing up a 6.5" 624 at a gun show a few years ago. In the fullness of time, I'd like to add a 24 or 624, 4" or 6.25" to my collection. Enjoy shooting that fine piece.
