Just curious if anyone here who partcipated in the spare magazine thread has rethought it after LA riots.

The only time I can recall doubling up on mags and putting a rifle in the truck was right after a couple of planes disappeared into some buildings in New York. Things were legit unknown in that moment...not whatever this stage crafting is in LA today.

Weller 12 year old Black Label Bourbon

I picked up a liter of Weller 12 in Dallas a few months ago for $225. They may have gotten to me a little bit, but not too bad. Think about all the miles you burn up hunting bottles and it works itself out, kind of like Smiths that way.

Have you ever bid on a unseen group of gun items and when you get them, this happened?

This has happened to me a few times. I've found a few Tyler grips this way, too. Warm fuzzies :giggle:

    S&W J frame vs. Glock 42

My situation is similar. Typically the 42 gets carried appendix style in a slim kydex, when it's hot or I'm otherwise in shorts. It's easier to carry the J frame in long pants, or even better in a jacket pocket. Sometimes I carry both in the winter. A J frame in a jacket pocket doesn't...

    Does Anyone Clean Firearms Anymore

There are a growing number of new shooters who do not know how to disassemble/clean their firearm, or at least how to do it properly. Smokeless powders also make it easier to put off cleaning. My grandfather taught me to never let the sun go down on a dirty gun...but he was a long-time black...

Why Is Buying A Pair of Consecutive Guns A Thing?

I recently bought two new pistols that were consecutive for my adult children. Otherwise it wouldn't matter much to me. There would have to be more provenance to older guns besides just consecutive SNs for me to get excited.

    Grip adapters

This might be useful for the Pachmayrs. The Tyler adapters are still sized as currently shown on their website, to my knowledge that hasn't changed in decades.

Would you folks get excited for a 95% 586-5 snub for $800? See #55

Are you sure it's not a 3"? Is it ported? That would make it the first batch of prelock L-comps. I'd buy it.

    Heaviest recoiling gun you’ve shot?

50 BMG bolt action rifle. You take in the whole blast. But I'm not sure that's any worse than a Model 340PD.

    Guns.com

I've completed two sales, they were routine. Both items were what I expected and there were no surprises. The only thing I would change is to use my regular FFL, which is not really their doing. They have their own network which I suppose my guy could join, but I just picked a local pawn shop...
