They say it comes ... "Comes with original box and papers! "

It is my understanding they never made a 586 2.5 snub

And yet....
Where do you understand that from?

What is the 6 digit product code on the end label? Also what is the SPEC ORD number?

Product code 103497 is a 38 Special, 2 1/2" 586 with production starting in 1994 for Brasil

Product code 103500 is a 357 Magnum, 2 1/2" 586 with production starting in 1993

There might be others as well

The 2 1/2" M586 is really fairly common, not large numbers but are seen out there from time to time.

The hard one to find is the 3" M586.

Now those are scarce....

I bid on a NIB 586-4 2 1/2" snubby Nov. 5, 2023. I stopped bidding @ $3,000. Bid on GunBroker.

Winning bid was $4,525.00.
Definitely not the going rate. Someone with way more money than brains bought that one. Seen boxed 3 inch ones bring quite a bit less than that. It makes me wish I still had my 2 NIB 586 2.5" still, lol.

I bought one from a forum member in 2022 with box and all papers product code 103500 for just shy of 2k. My understanding is that the production numbers were quite low. If you come across one and want one, I suggest you do what you can to buy it because it might be the last one you see.

The guy dropping 4k on one really doesn't surprise me. If someone wanted to get that final gun to have all the barrel lengths you gotta do what you gotta do.

I’m expecting another 3” 586 on Tuesday from a fellow member. Looking forward to posting some pictures once it arrives. I need to find a better setup for taking pictures, other than the iPhone and dinning room table.
