Great ad from 1968. Only $100 for a M39 back then, sounds like they were really cheap. But using the inflation caluclator ($100.00 in 1968 had about the same buying power as $619.00 in 2008.) it really only cost a little less then a 9mm M&P does now. Suggested retail $679.00. J. S.

Yes it is, although it's a 9VE. I thought the same thing as you did that I lost something re-assembling it. I went back to the dealer and looked at others both 9 & 40 and they were the same. I didn't notice this until about a week after I bought the gun... J. S.

Here's a picture of my original "Dirty Harry" shoulder holster as sold by Lawman Leather Goods and below is a copy of the flyer they sent me (circa 1975). I thought $59.95 was a lot of money for a holster back then.
