    Reline barrel?

That's an option, but we still need to have the latch repaired. There's a lot of wear in the ears on the receiver.

    Reline barrel?

My Dad picked up a Third Model (Perfected) .22lr pistol, the barrel has been shot out and the barrel latch is somewhat loose. He wants to keep it as original as possible, so he doesn't want it "restored", but he wants to shoot it. The barrel needs to be relined and the latch tightened up. Can...

    tactical flashlight holder

I've got two of these, one on the 15-22 and the second one on the STG-556. They work good and you can't beat the price. If I decide to put side rails on the PS90 I'll have to get a third one.

    Wow... bye bye extractor

While I didn't have an OOB, I had to send mine in for frequent jams. Now the only time it stops shooting is when it runs out of those little copper colored pointy things. You'll be well pleased when yours comes home from the hospital.

    Increase recoil?

You might try to find a cone type flash hider like the Army had for the T-3 carbine and M1D rifle. They make the M1 carbine kick more like a 30-30 and the M1D slightly unpleasant to shoot. I doubt you’d find one that would fit; you’ll probably have to have it fabricated. My guess is it still...

Watch out boys-they are out on the prowl!

In my yard, all snakes are considered hostile and will be dealt with accordingly. I also found out that a Remington 700 in .204 Ruger zeroed at 100 yards ain’t worth a damn on a water moccasin at 15 feet! But it was what I had handy at the time.

    15-22: 100% Fixed Coming Back From S&W

I had to send mine back too. After S&W updated it, the only time it stops shooting is when it runs out of those little copper colored pointy things. Just for grins I hung a 4~14x scope on it. At 125 yards I was hitting pieces of clay pigeons the size of my thumbnail. We was impressed!

    Trying to reinstall hammer

Check how your trigger pin is installed. Actually, both the trigger & hammer pins are the same part, and there are two grooves cut in it. There is a spring in the hammer that fits in the center groove on the pin to hold it in. With a regular hammer spring, one leg or the other will drop into...

.22 Winchester magnum conversion kit possible ?

I'd rather see a rifle or upper in .17 Mach 2. Except for the higher ammo cost, that would do nasty things to Mr. Squirrel. Same magazine and maybe the same weight bolt. Hopefully the only change would be the recoil spring.

15-22 ammo choice for home defense?

I agree, there seem to be no way to predict if the little .22 will stop a bad guy. I’ve seen times where somebody got punctured by multiple rounds of .22 and never knew they had been hit. On the flip side, shortly after I was stationed on Kunsan, Korea, the ROK Marines were having a training...

M&P 15-22 Results, Post 'em here. I got Mine!!

It’s Baaaack! I received my 15-22 back from S&W yesterday, blue springs, and they replaced all four magazines. I managed to put 125 rounds through it using all the magazines before I had to make dinner. I had no malfunctions of any kind with Federal bulk ammo.

Well, looks like it's finally my turn (The thrilling conclusion)

I just got the Fed-Excuse tracking number from S&W, the little darlin should be back Monday. Unless Fed-Excuse looses it.

    15-22 in .17?

They have had problems trying to get the .17 HMR to work semi-auto, but I think there are several .17M2's out there. I could be wrong, I'm married so I'm used to it.

    15-22 in .17?

When S&W gets caught up fixing the problems with the 15-22 (they got mine today), I wonder if they have any plans on making either a whole firearm or perhaps an upper in .17 Mach 2? I’d grab a .17M2 upper in a heartbeat.

Well, looks like it's finally my turn (The thrilling conclusion)

I called them first thing Wednesday and I received the shipping label by snail mail Friday. I'm on the way to Fed-Excuse now. What's that song, "Take good care of my baby".

Well, looks like it's finally my turn (The thrilling conclusion)

I feel your pain Mine is all boxed up and I'll take it to FedExcuse at lunchtime. Since I'm having stovepipe jams, S&W asked for all four of my magazines.

    Handguard end ring coming loose

The plastic is "Nylatron GS" and as is it weighs 2.5 oz. Depending on what alloy of aluminum it would weigh anywhere from 5.5 to 6.0 oz. That would probably be too heavy.

    Handguard end ring coming loose

When I get home I can weigh it and make a guess about what an aluminum version the same size would weigh, but I’ll bet the plastic is a lot lighter. It threads very well, but you’d have to use a coarse thread just like aluminum. Your threads have to be larger than the metal (or plastic) grains...

    Handguard end ring coming loose

Yep! I can get you the plastic type when I get home from work. Basically, it’s a Delrin type plastic with molybdenum sulfate mixed it. They said it’s (normally) used for plastic bearings. It sure machines nice, and they had a two foot piece left over from a previous customer. It’s not...

    It's sort of a S&W...maybe

I've had a G22 for several years, like you it was love at first fondle. Field stripping is a pain, if you don't have the manual let me know and I can scan you the pages you'll need. Mine likes Remington bulk ammo best.
