I picked this little Walther G22 up today and I absolutely love it (and I haven't even shot it yet!). I figure since the address on the paperwork is the S&W address (although this has no S&W markings) I'm putting it with the family :D

I picked it up in trade and I wasn't sure what to expect, but as soon as I picked it up I was in love. It's very solid, and heavier than I expected. I can't wait to get it out to the range. I've got a different red-dot on it now but I may change it back to the one pictured. I got the factory hard case and everything in the deal.

I've got a Walther P22 and it's not so easy to take apart to clean. How is the G22 disassembly? Just curious.

I've had a G22 for several years, like you it was love at first fondle. Field stripping is a pain, if you don't have the manual let me know and I can scan you the pages you'll need. Mine likes Remington bulk ammo best.

I haven't tried to break it down yet...I'm waiting until I have to :p. Also I've got the manual so I'm good to go there (but thanks for the offer!)

I took it out shooting today and I don't know when I've had as much fun. I got my red dot zeroed in, then it was just lots of bang-bang-bang! I had some occasional ejection failures but it was always with the same mag, and it didn't seem to matter if it was rapid or slow fire. It didn't detract from my fun, though...I just need to get some more mags so I can keep them loaded :D The only way I can think of to improve it is that it just screams for a forward grip (which will be added very soon!).

If you have the opportunity to pick one of these up, I highly recommend it!

how accurate is the gun? grats on the new toy!

I was just shooting offhand anywhere from 15 to about 30 yards and it hit whatever I pointed it at. I'd love to set it on a bench and see what it will do. From what I've read these can be quite accurate.

ive been debating between this and the 15-22 for a while now. cant make up my mind.

I had a 15-22 and I really liked it but used it for trade bait, knowing I could pick up another one. After shooting both of them, the biggest advantage of the 15-22 is the 25rd mags (as opposed to 10rd on the Walther). If this one has an advantage, it's that it's heavier and feels much more solid...less like an airsoft and more like a real gun. If I could only have one it would be a very tough choice...I'm glad I have this one and I'll get me another 15-22 down the road.
