I'm not picky, but that ding in the slide would bother me. I can't see the issue with the sights. Is it the scuff marks? I think S&W should replace the slide. That ding would irritate me forever, even though some consider it minor.

Got my shield 45 about 6 weeks ago. My mags have the black mark down the middle. Gun was oily too. I figured the mark meant the mag passed testing. ??

I have the 9 and 45. For shooting, I love the 45. For carry, the 9 is easier as it is lighter and has a less aggressive grip texture. I put a Hogue grip on the 45 because the grip texture irritates my skin. (I don't wear a T shirt). The 40 should be the same as the 9 as far as carry issues...
