    Aluminum Frame M&P9 M2.0

Shot mine yesterday as well. I quite like it. It's a noticeably different experience to shooting a plastic M&P. Different balance, stiffer, the flat trigger is an improvement. It's a good (probably final) addition to my M&P family.

    Aluminum Frame M&P9 M2.0

Don't look how Les Baer and other "custom" 1911 builders ship their guns. Besides, the box goes in the closet never to be seen again. I'd rather spend $800 than $810 and get a plastic case I'll never see again after the gun is in the safe.

    Aluminum Frame M&P9 M2.0

or $800 at my LGS (and now in my safe at home until I can shoot it later this week) went in to look at the Springfield Prodigy and had in my mind to buy the new OR non-CORE 9mm with flat trigger. Found the metal instead and only the OR with a safety. Instead of futzing around with removing...

Huge Favor - OWB Holster Leather for M&Pc ?

You should realize that any holster will wear a gun's finish. Leather will do it more slowly but, eventually, will do more damage than kydex. Kydex will wear the holster very quickly but the amount of damage done will cap and that will be about it.

    M&P pistol action Package!

I would take the $110 and buy an Apex DCAEK and RAM. Proven goodness!

    Tricky Magazine

Here's another vote for the Uplula. However! For magazines with plastic followers, I like to load the first round by hand to prevent the metal feed ramp in the uplula from damaging the follower. I agree that the first round can be a bit tricky to get into the magazine. The best trick I've...

    DCAEK in South Florida?

Is there any reason why you don't want to do the work yourself? It's not very hard and the videos Apex has on the install are quite good. The only thing you really need is an 1/8" roll pin punch and a small hammer suitable for using with a punch.

Getting a new M&P - Need advice on Ammo and Gun Price

National Instant Criminal Background Check System. It's the background check dealers are required to run by law (unless your state has exemptions as many do for CFP holders, for example). This should be included in the fee from your receiving FFL. Around here, $35 is the going rate for a...

    40c Talon Gripped

Nope! In all seriousness, though, for the S/M backstraps, some trimming is necessary. Thanks. The hardest part was getting the backing off, though. All the slits in the grip means you'll end up tearing the backing and having to pull off small pieces. It goes on pretty easily and...

    40c Talon Gripped

Here's my 5" 9 Pro with its new Talon. I use the large backstrap so no trimming necessary! One more pair to install on my 9FS!

    Trouble breaking down

Happens on my 9FS and 5" 9 Pro as well. With the FS, the lever basically won't stay down on its own at all. With the muzzle pointing to my left, I hold the gun in my right hand by the grip, push and hold the lever with my right thumb and pull the slide off with my left hand.

Installed Warren Tactical Night Sights on my new M&Pc

With H3 night sights, a sight pusher is a good idea. The shock from using a punch and hammer can break the vial.

    What's with Apex parts?

This. I put a DCAEK in my 9FS. For Christmas, I bought myself a 5" 9 Pro and even with the perfomance center parts, I already have another DCAEK on order for it.

    Picked up my first gun

Here's another vote for using a paperclip instead of the takedown tool. However, a trick that was taught to me by a S&W armor is to use the toe of the baseplate of the magazine to pry the tool out of the grip. Rotate it as usual and hoot the baseplate under the edge of the tool that is hanging...

What hoppes solvent should I use?

Shooter's Choice. I stopped using #9 years ago for BreakFree CLP but, at times, it isn't aggressive enough. I still buy CLP by the gallon but Shooter's Choice cuts through the tough stuff in no time at all. Unlike most people, I find the #9 smell quite objectionable. Shooter's Choice also...
