Will that leave permanent residue if you change your mind?

Its nice but doesnt allow you to change out your backstraps if you're feeling adventurous at the range.

Here's my 5" 9 Pro with its new Talon. I use the large backstrap so no trimming necessary!

One more pair to install on my 9FS!

I see more people trying this. While I haven't seen massive numbers, I have yet to hear a real complaint. Very interesting.

no, it will not leave permanent residue.

I did notice that all it would take is one little slit with an razor blade in between the existing slits to make the back strap removable. I dont think it would ruin the grip either. If so.. its 10 bucks..

the purchase is amazing.
I ordered both but put on the sandpaper type. Ill switch to rubber in the summer if the paper irritates the skin too much..

I tried to rub the grip as hard as i could to see if the granules collected in my palms.. not a grain. hi quality.

They still dont trust you with the scissors huh? :D
Nope!

In all seriousness, though, for the S/M backstraps, some trimming is necessary.

Nice job, and looks great.
Thanks. The hardest part was getting the backing off, though. All the slits in the grip means you'll end up tearing the backing and having to pull off small pieces. It goes on pretty easily and, following the instructions, sticks pretty well!

Just got mine in yesterday and am quite pleased. I got the sand texture and the positive grip feel is excellent!

I think I'll order a set for my 40c, does it come with more than 1 finger extender grip? Also, did you grab the rubber or sand paper type for your compact? I'm worried that sand paper would irritate my skin when I conceal carry.

only one finger grip. :(
But I am considering buying another full grip for the extra finger grip. Plus i found a way to make a small cut so that the back strap can be removed. My wife likes to shoot it with the small back strap so I'll add grip to the small one.. 2 birds, one stone..

I bought both sandpaper and rubber.. Installed the sandpaper. I figure if the sandpaper is just too much for conceal carry, ill switch it over to the rubber, but just the back strap first. I think its the only part I might have issues with against my bare skin.

Thanks, I picked up a rubber grip because thats what they recommended for concealed carry on the website. I thought about ordering another too because I can't decide between the large and medium grip sizes.

So my talon grips came in today and I installed them after I got home from work. They went on real easy and look great. They also sent me an extra magazine finger extension grip, I asked in the special comments if that would be possible and they included it for me at no extra cost. The grip definitely feels better and I can't wait to get it to the range to try it out.

Got my grips today, ordered Sat, arrived tues. Arizona to Illinois, pretty fast for free shipping. I'll install tonight and post pics later.

I have both the sand paper and rubber texture grips on pistols and on those that have a lot of recoil or pistols you fire a lot of rounds out of, the sand paper ones can eat at your hands after a while. My hands are pretty tough, but after a good while of shooting smaller guns in particular, the sandpaper bothers me a bit.

Then again, if it's real hot/humid, the rubber adhesive add on grips can get slippery when you sweat. I typically custom cut mine (sand paper and rubber) so that not as much surface is covered as they offer, which helps overall.

On the other hand, I like a bit of the sandpaper on top of bright stainless slides, where glare under bright conditions can potentially be a bit of a problem. I also have used the sand paper in thin strips, in the serrated areas where you grip to rack the slides, although the handsome scalloped grips on the M&P's slides don't warrant that IMO.

Put the Talons on my 40c. Great improvement. I got two of the pinky grips.

Here is my 40 full size with the sandpaper grip. I have the large backstrap on, install fairly straight forward. It's very grippy, and actually rather rough, might have to lightly sand down, won't decide til I shoot it.
