Model 67 no dash trade-in value?

I have a 67-1, and that is the perfect assessment! Andy

Importance of having the striker block ?

The striker block prevents the gun going full-auto in case of sear/striker breakage, like Marlin said. The articulated trigger on the Sigma prevents the pistol firing if dropped on its butt/rear of slide (you would have to drop it a long ways, I would think). In theory, on the Glock, the...

The ultimate Sigma picture thread thingy!

I fear that is my thought as well, only without the Hogue grip. Andy

    Should I buy another Sigma?

I have owned a SW40VE for years, and have never had a problem with it. I don't keep track of rounds fired, but I have to have fired at least a 1000. My sons, my wife, a lot of my friends and their wives have shot it, it has never jammed. Andy

    Model 67 shrinking sight insert

My circa 1974 (I think) model 67's red sight insert has kinda shrunken over the years. Is this common; is there an easy fix? Thanks Andy

    Picked up my Model 67

I picked up my new (to me) Model 67 yesterday. My wife says her mid-century 5" M&P is prettier, I can see her point. I like the 67 though, it looks like my 629 Mountain Gun, only smaller. Same tapered barrel look, and it has a great balance. Other than an ugly screw or two, the revolvers is in...

    Primers!

A local G/S had a pallet of primers the other day. I bought 5000 of each size for 149.99 per 5000. The last primers I bought were 20 a brick of 1000, not all that long ago (couple years) Andy

    I need a little car

It amazes me so many people bought the Prius so everyone would know "I'm driving a Hybrid" when the Honda was a much better car. My wife and I just bought a new Focus as our 3rd car, her SUV was burning way too much gas when it was just her and one or two kids in town. It handles well, and is...

    629 Backpacker

I think the Backpackers (and all 3" N Frames) are beautiful, but my 629 Mountain Gun is a more practical gun, to me. Andy

    Just bought a sigma 40

If your Sigma is as reliable as mine has been, you will be happy with it for a long long time! Andy

New S&W 67 Owner, with questions of course!

I do have a quick question, did the Model 67s come with target grips, or only the Magna style? I put a Model 67 on layaway this weekend, it has target grips that sure look like they belong on it, although the bottom corners of the grips are "chewed up" I assume from a seatbelt when holstered...

Did S&W ever make 38 Special "Model 19"?

And S&W did make the Model 15, which is more or less identical to the 19. The Model 15 had a more tapered barrel, an un-shrouded ejector rod and a slightly shorter cylinder, but even side by side, you have to look twice. I don't know if that answers your question Andy

    My new 629-4....My grail gun!

My 629-4 Mountain Gun was new enough to be cased in a plastic box, but for what it is worth, it came sans sight tool or cleaning gear. The 4" MG makes a large enough fireball in the right conditions, cannot even imagine the snub. Great looking gun!! Andy

    .38 special looked down upon?

Ruger gambled that people still love the 38 Spl, with their LCR. The only 38 Spl in my house is a late 40s, early 50s 5" M&P, but I have burned a LOT of the ammo in my Security Six and SP101 357s. Even +P handloads are pleasant to shoot in my 357s, compared to magnum loads. Andy

    My SW9VE Review

Hi, all I just finished cleaning my SW40VE tonite, so I thought this thread was timely. I have owned mine long enough I bought it before the AWB sunsetted (10 years old?), and it has always been perfectly reliable. I said I just finished cleaning it, I should add for the first time in 2 years...

Stingray Belt Holster for SW40VE - Feedback?

I don't have any experience with the Fobus auto holsters, but I have one for a k-frame revolver. I don't really dislike it, but I don't like it well enough to buy another one, plus most of the Fobus holsters sold locally are paddle holsters, I would prefer a belt holster. Holsters are a pretty...

Stingray Belt Holster for SW40VE - Feedback?

I am considering picking one of these up for my 40 Sigma, for general purpose use. Does anyone here own/use one with the Sigma (9 or 40)? Would you recommend it, or an alternative? I have considered and rejected a Blackhawk Serpa and Fobus. I realize that a SW40VE is a pretty big pistol to...

Thank You grips13 Great Deal !!

I posted a WTB for some Checkered Diamond Magnas, grips13 responded, and I ended up with the correct grips in outstanding shape for a fair price. Grips and I spoke on the phone, and he was very friendly and helpful. The grips were shipped quickly, packaged carefully, and when they arrived, they...
