    well, I probably wont shoot it in a hunting situation past 100 yards for now but with the many loads available in 460 this is easily a 200+ yard gun! I was shooting 50-75 yards with 3 inch groups and less with open sights just off of the bipod.

    has anybody had the Performance Center do custom work ?

    the only smiths I own are PC guns and like the above poster said, would never let anyone but them work on them. not to say people don't have the skill, but I just would not.

    I prefer S&W but every smith I own is performance center and have nothing really left to be desired. well, maybe some grips but just because I have big hands.

    barrel length affects velocity, and velocity affects accuracy maybe not so much at 50 yards but I bet a 14 inch scoped 460 versus a scoped 5 inch 460 would have interesting results in the hands of the same shooter at 200 yards. I bought the 460 with my barrel to make very long shots if need...

    only difference between mine and yours is mine being limited edition Ellet brothers in 2tone color and my cylinder is fluted. man oh man, I love this gun.
