    Looked at a 40 today

I have a M&P .40 Full Size and have shot my son’s .40 Shield and .40c multiple times wiyhout any issues. For me, the .40 S&W are great, great pistols. I will be adding a .40 Shield and a .40c to my own arsenal soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Thinking about trading in my FNS-40c for a M&P 40c

Thinking about trading in my FNS-40c for a M&P 40c Thank you got the responses. They have been helpful. I’ve pretty much come to the conclusion that I am going to keep the FNS. It is such a pleasure to shoot that I would be crazy to sell it to fund a M&P .40c. On the other hand, I really...

Thinking about trading in my FNS-40c for a M&P 40c

The FNS-40c is fine and works just as it should but I like my S&W M&P 40 FS more. I’m thinking about trading in my FNH FNS-40c for a S&W M&P 40c. They’re pretty similar in size though I’m pretty sure the FNS has larger capacity mags. My reason? I just really want to commit to Smith & Wesson as a...

Huge fan of the M&P 40 Shield!

My wife and I spent the weekend with my son and daughter in-law. I have a M&P 40 FF and he has a M&P 40 Shield. I had never shot the Shield and thought that it would either kick like heck, being a .40 cal, or be very uncomfortable with its more narrow grip. So, we went to a very friendly...

    Good hardshell pistol case?

While not exactly a carry gear question, I would like to purchase a decent hardshell case, without breaking the bank, for my M&P 40 FF. Any suggestions?

M&P c or Shield for CCW?

The ability to have/incorporate magazines with a place for my pinky is pretty important to me. That and the wider grip. I need those two attributes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

M&P c or Shield for CCW?

Oh, I'm not going anywhere. I love this forum. Thank you for the information on the 45 Shield. You have convinced me that the 45 Shield is a manageable firearm. I am not looking for things to dislike about the Shield but the 45 Shield only has a seven round capacity. Even the 40 Shield has...

M&P c or Shield for CCW?

I'm reading more posts in favor of the M&P compact. Bottom line is I have nothing at all against the Shield. I just think the compact will feel closer to my M&P 40 FS that the Shield will and, again, the larger magazine of the M&P compact is appealing and...it's not like the M&P compact is huge...

M&P c or Shield for CCW?

That's what I was thinking. I like the idea of the Shield. I love what I've seen in online video and other reviews on the Shield but I love even more having larger capacity magazines.

M&P c or Shield for CCW?

Hello all, I've posted here and there on the forum and have decided to get more active. I currently have a M&P 40 FS that is my only handgun. I love this gun. It just functions perfectly and the aim placement is true. So, though the sample size is small (basing it on one pistol), I am a big...

    Is the 40 S&W dieing?

I have a M&P .40 and love everything about it...comfortable gun and, for me, great to shoot. All of my coworkers who have shot with my M&P also love it. I haven't done it yet but the M&P .40 is supposed to be very easily converted into other, smaller, calibers, like 9mm. For me, that is a...

    Silly question.....

A few weeks ago someone started a discussion about purchasing an M&P 40. One of the participants said that when he was purchasing his he noticed that it had been manufactured some years prior and asked the gun shop if he could purchase a newer model instead. I don't remember the outcome of the...

who wants to help a new guy??? 9mm and .40 questions...a bunch of them!!!

I picked up a M&P40 for $550 last night. Very reasonable price considering the MSRP (in the S&W catalog) is $718.

I am now the proud owner of a M&P40

I hate to "burst" into the forum like this - though I did provide an intro in the introduction portion of the forum - but I am so jacked about my new friend I just had to tell someone.:D So, I was in the market for a new (first) pistol. After visiting a few shops Thursday morning and handling...

new member, soon to be owner

I'm thinking about buying a Sigma too.... and am curious about the quality of the firearm. I have nothing other than the price to go by but I wonder if it isn't somehow inferior because it's so inexpensive. Understand, this is my first real firearm and I am not expecting something spectacular...
