my wife pryer to meeting me some 17yrs ago, was never exposed as a kid to shooting or hunting for that matter. i'm an avid hunter and somewhat of a target shooter. i've tought her the basics of safty and how to shot over the years. although she loves her critter to much to hunt, she has some interest to shoot, but not a desire like me. starting her out years ago, with a .22 rifle and pistol, and she's now taken over my .243. she has her own .20ga for some clay flinging that she shots well. she would come out with me and/or with the boys a couple times a year.
that was untill i gained interest in a cpl. mainly for my protection while out in the field bow hunting. theres bear, coyote, wolfs and hilljacks' where i hunt.
well she wanted a cpl also. why not i thought. money being tight in our household, and to keep her interest peeked, i decide that the first sd handgun we bought should be hers. i took her to a few ranges and rented several guns to try. she like and handled the ruger sr9c real good. i liked it also. i have an M&P357sig compact for carry. amoung others.
i first started to see the signs after a few range sessions. not having the bad habits that us that grow up with that first red rider do. she has taken instruction quite well, and she has become a fine shooter for a beginer. she's at the point where she's correcting my "occasional" sloppyness. ha ha.
i now have my cpl and she has just completed her mandated training class and is waiting for the mailman.
well this gal can eat up some brass in a hurry. kinda like when a woman has a camera in her hand... click... click....click....click....so with our new, well not so new hobby and costs skyrocketing. ( .357sig. ammo is way over priced) we just added a .45acp to the armory. i figured i'd give reloading a try. a couple million dollars invested in a press and goodies to save money, yea right! we have our own bullet factory and managed to churn out some shootable ammo.
we are currently living in an apartment. the dinning room area has been converted into many projects that would normally be best served in a work shop/garage. but i have to work with what i have in hand. i'm still working through the pitfalls and constraints of reloading in a apartment, but it's coming along nicely.
this is where the monster has begun to show it true colors.
a few days after the loading press started to work it's magic. my wife is right there over my shoulder. can i try that? sure you can! do it like this and like that and read this manual. she's eatting it up like candy and much to my suprise, making her own ammo.
nothen like quality time with the wife.......now if i can just get her to clean the fish!
when it all started
just added a turrent press to the mix
