    Not for the squemish..........

hurts just to look at that disaster. 30 yrs of tid bits tucked in what a shame. been there done that. on the bright side the upgrades and reorg ideas now have a starting point. words of wisdom to share. when you scoop up the heaps and try to separate them take your time. later recheck the...

    bg380 sight problem

RPG, thanks for the reply. I will say there is merit to most of your statements. I agree that no bullet or sight change will correct this piece as it's an obvious machining error. it's now boxed and on it's way back to the birthplace for some "tuning".

    Opinions on M&P 45?

i own both of the pistols in question. i shopped around and fired quite a few rentals before i bought the sr9c last june. i then bought the M&P357c a week later. they are both fine weapons. both are nearing the 2,000 round mark. neither have had any problems that needed attention. the trigger on...

trying do decide on 1st pistol went and shot a couple today

alot of good advice here. you didn't mention if these were rentals or a friends guns. one of the big offences i see with range rentals is, their feed large amounts of cheap ammo and rarely cleaned (if you want to call it that) till there is a problem. you'll have a hard time hitting with a...

    .44mag velocity question

i managed to get a shot of the forcing cone that is clear enough to see. i also measured some of the clearances with feeler gauges. b/c .007 endshake .0035 head space .016 firing pin .029 cylinder stop has some slop. i cannot see any peening in the cylinder recesses. i did not have a chance...

    .44mag velocity question

(bold) thats what concerns me about hornady's xtp data. they tend to use quite a few more grains than most other data i find published. all while using the same col's and such. not for just this caliber several others. interesting, i'll have to look into this somemore. i was playing around...
