My Distinguished combat magnum 686 no dash. Great shooter.

I didn't buy it for a range gun, I have others that are more fun to shoot, and I really will only put a few rounds through it occasinally to make sure it still functions properly. It's my carry gun not a target pistol.

I'm assuming from what I've been reading is that you cannot have a Jovino effector made any more. Does any one convert the 686 to the short barreled round butt style anymore?

I had my first fail to load problem while firing today. Pulled the trigger and nothing. Checked and found no bullet in the chamber. The magazine was loose and had dropped down a 1/8 on an inch or so and the slide did not pick up the round. First problem with firing the gun, but second time...
