Some great pics here... I am really intrigued by the 686 Midnight Black edition of 89' that was posted by "oldgun"... these came out before I was of age to begin buying and collecting firearms. Anyone know how many they made?

Not mine but I wish it was. Still looking for the barrel shroud/underbarrel weight like the one on this gun.

My stainless 686 (no dash) with 6" barrel. I purchased new back in the 80's. I think they called it a Distinquished Combat Magnum. Has red ramp and white outline adjustable rear site and smooth combat trigger. Only had about 50 or so rounds through it so it's like new. It is a very accurate shooter.
