Shoot it and see if you have an issue. It will likely loosen up a bit after shooting. I've seen some of the new 2.0's have really stiff slide locks and others not so much. New Shield 2.0 I recently picked up was stiff but started to loosen up a bit during the first range session.

I've never seen a shop do this. They may offer to ship it to S&W for you but they are not going to take it back and swap you another one after it has been transferred, in my experience.

I'm guessing the width difference you were feeling was due to the grip insert that was in the used 1.0 Compact.

Did you specifically ask for a paper copy to be sent? If not, and since you emailed, they may have thought that was the most expedient way to answer your needs.

For folks that appendix carry it may make a big difference. I won't appendix carry as it places the gun in a position I don't want to be pointing a gun, but that's just me. I'd assume there is a fairly sizable number of folks who appendix carry.

You talking Remington Thunderbolts or Golden Bullets? Mine runs fine with Golden Bullets so far. I have Golden Bullets stocked up for use with my Advantage Arms kit for my Glocks and have been running them in the M&P Compact without issue.

CCI Blazer lead can leave a lot of leading in the barrel and possibly chamber. Is this happening early in the shooting trip or after a good number of rounds expended? Might try a plated bullet and see if you still have the same issue (as well as watching the thumb drag as discussed).

Mine was blue as well on all 3 of my 2.0 Compacts. I believe the 1.0's had yellow coloring (at least the 9c I had at one point before I sold it off).
